i think this happenned to most of us. When they released neighborhoods i wish that they done something like the older records, nowdays i can see that neighborhoods is a mature album from they at their 30~40s and thats the way they had to go, i hope the new album sounds something like neighborhoods and dogs eating dogs.
It happened to me for sure. When Up All Night first came out I really disliked it but it's been one of my favourite tracks for god knows how many years now. In fact, a good few songs off of Neighbourhoods have a special meaning to me now; I just wasn't ready for it!
@@marcfreeman2274 oh it's easily Dammit, it's just one of those once in a blue moon perfect songs in my opinion, but for a more interesting choice, well this song is definitelly up there, along with Dump Weed and possibly Carousel too, all those songs are awesome is what im saying, hard to pick ya know Edit: i don't know how i forgot about Adam's Song in the moment but that's definitely my 2nd favorite
Do we realize that almost all hope was lost 2-3 years ago? We just couldn't imagine Tom coming back a second time and when Mark got diagnosed, it became a really sad time. Now look at them go, those magnificent bastards at it again
Yeah, it's just pitch correction (which isn't like T-Pain w/ major auto tune) and the rest is to fill out the sound to stay true to the studio version, while they play their parts. Having additional musicians on stage to play the other parts just wouldn't be blink (and distracting).
@@mattg8855 He’s playing what needs to be played, the song isn’t a riffy type and it’s better him just doing the chords in the verse rather then the little background riff, allows him to focus more on singing

Ghosts On The Dance Floor will always be an eerily relatable song for me. Lost a close buddy a couple years ago. About 3 months after his passing I had such a vivid dream that he came back for one night to catch up on some shit and get closure. I woke up in a cold sweat and then ironically first song on my shuffle was this one. “I felt your ghost tonight… and God, it felt so real.”
I remember shedding tears when I first popped Neighborhoods in and heard this song, still in absolute sheer disbelief that Blink-182 was back. Now with them coming back again, after Mark's cancer scare and seeing all of them so happy and rejuvenated, it hits 10 times harder.

This song was written in 2004 when blink were still together for their original run. Also, the reason it sounds good is because Tom's mic is auto tuned.
Shit most of this album did and it was my top song on it! That's why people hate that album is that it sounds alot like an AVA record to much for them. I love blink and have listened since I was 9, 33 now but I definitely like AVA better when Tom went into that direction in 2005. Saw them in 2019 and 2021 and it was awesome!
I've listened to them since Cheshire Cat and this is the best they've sounded since forever. They were more serious about the music with neighborhoods, but not this serious. They actually sound like professionals. It just feels right seeing them together again.
A night full of great moments but this song will always be my favorite! Travis KILLED it and the backdrop was amazing! The boys are back and better than ever 🐰
This is my favourite blink-182 song. One of my very close friends passed away a couple years ago, it was really painful too because I kind of liked her and she liked me the e timing was just never right. This band has got me through so much, and every time I hear this song I feel like she’s nearby thanks for posting this really made my day 🤘💜
So, I was listening to Tom talk about this song once. I loved the song but when I learned what the message was in the song, I loved it even more. Tom said the idea behind the song is that you're getting to see your loved ones you've lost over the years on the dance floor and you're dancing with their ghosts. And it's like you're stuck in that moment of time with them. It's almost like our memories of our loved ones don't ever go away. And it would be really cool if you could meet all of their ghosts on the dance floor and just dance with them.
That little space sound thingy when Travis is going up to the top is so mesmerizing, I love ava and I love blink, neighborhoods did a good job combining the two sounds. Wish they’d play more off the album.

This song reminds me of middle/high school and you would sneak out at night with a girl that you like and you are walking together under the stars staring at each other and you hope you can get a kiss. Ya....simple times. I miss that 😢
