As a long time Blink and Alkaline fan this was hard to watch. I passed on the VA beach show out of respect for the feelings i have for both bands original work. Blink will never be the same without Tom and Matt needs to buy his soul back with help from Alkaline duo.
It’s not that Tom delonge is the most talented musician out there.. he has a very unique sound and style which makes blink. Travis and mark know that.. I like mark and Travis’s passion.. they have enough money to buy their own island and retire yet they continue to write and tour.
I jumped on to watch this because I myself am debating if I should go to their show in Salt Lake City tomorrow, but after seeing this...I like how you put it, Jackson, I have too much respect for their original line up and original work. This concert would probably just make me sad. I am going to see Tom in Angels and Airwaves in a few weeks though! Looking forward to that.
It would be a fulfilling experience seeing this collection of songs performed live they're all very near and dear to my heart. They just are not performing incredibly well lol. Tom wasn't perfect either but these three guys do not have the same musical chemistry and this performance does not have the personality or energy they had with him.
@@kylestevenson4743 Lots of bands playing digital setups don’t have most of their pedalboards on stage. Matt doesn’t have much going on effects wise so it’s likely his guitar tech switches it behind stage. Basically what Nathaniel said.
Dude, so right. Aliens exist being sung by Matt is a nightmare. Matt is a way better guitarist too and to hear him playing Tom's choppy chords is just inauthentic.
just about that area 51 hoax thing. if you find that new video of tom he says he'll return to blink when the time is right and he talks to mark everyday.

Can you people stop pretending Tom was any good live? He was horrible, both singing and guitar playing. In fact, they've always sucked live (except for Travis, of course). This isn't new.
@@huntercrunch94 I enjoy Tom more live because he... kind of goes wild? I enjoy his incoherent shouting, versus Skiba's more tame less dynamic vocal covers. Not that Skiba isn't capable of belting or whatever, just not a great substitute for a lot of Blink songs.
