Only two songs from Creshire Cat , interesting pick with Peggy sue. You can tell the crowd is primarily a skater punk crowd and some didn't seem to thrilled for the enemy of the state (pop punk) songs i.e. All the small things. Blink is trying to bridge these genres and fans.
Don't sweat it. I'm 28 and never got to see blink in this era. I will say they are fantastic live now compared to how they were 5, 10 years ago, but the speed and energy of the late 90s and early 2000s is unmatched.
My heart goes out to you..I was 13 in 99 and I was going through my "the backstreet boys SUCK!" Phase and then I found Bink! They were my first "favorite band" I guess you could say. I was into nu metal too but warped tour was so great. You would discover so many new bands. I saw blink and green day in the same night in 2004..it was WILD and a bunch of teenagers engaging in complete debauchery. I FEEL SO OLD that was damn 20 years ago.. don't grow up kids 🙏 lol 💯🤷♀️🤘 even though I'm almost 40 I still need to go to concerts like church 🙋♀️✌️
I remember the pure excitement I had when EOTS came out as a teenager, after getting into blink with Dude ranch. Sitting on my bed reading all the notes on the CD and listening to it on my discman over and over again. Don't get anything close to that feeling with music anymore.
@@workingtowork Hard to split. Probably Dude Ranch. There are 4 songs in a row on DR that I think are 12 minutes of the best music Blink ever wrote - Waggy, Enthused, Untitled, Apple Shampoo..
Thanks for the upload! Love seeing their 1999 gigs. It's cool to see Tom using the Inca Silver Strat as his main one, and the Surf Green one for the capo songs. Usually it's the other way around.
I was lucky enough to see this set at the 99' Warped Tour in Denver, at Mile High Stadium. Even then, you knew you were seeing something massive. (Yes, I'm old.)
After telling my kids about seeing Blink for the first time in 99, I got to take them to see Blink in Denver last week..25 years later, and it was so fuckin cool to see them singing their songs!
Travis' playing is just insane during this era. So clean, creative, fast, and fun to watch. Would KILL for a decent quality of a drum cam from this period
i think they use footage from this concert in the Urethra Chronicles - the Peggy Sue jam when Travis plays that sick beat with the hi hat chokes (a la Shut Up)
There was always clips of this set on the first "Urethra Chronicles" always wanted to be able to watch this full set. Amazing. Are you associated with blink in any way?
