This is actually really great, but I think you could've done it without changing the chords. I'm a big fan of the progression they used for the verse, especially paired with the riff.
The song was already pop-punk. People can say that Neighborhoods wasn't pop-punk but it had pop-punk influences. You can't expect them to write another Enema or TOYPAJ. Wishing Well, Even If She Falls, This Is Home(little too much synth though) , Natives, and MH: Pop-Punk all on their own. Ghost On The Dance Floor and Kaleidoscope: Lots of pop-punk influence.
If only you had tom's voice! But this is awesome! This is kind of what I pictured the songs of Neighborhoods would like, but I kind of got disappointed.

I think it sounds like Future Idiots made a cover of this song. You know, Future Idiots is one of Swedens biggest Punk Rock bands and actually counts as a band of it's own :P
@sunneyjim26 do you know a band that recently made an album and doesn't use autotune in it? I can only think of one: Foo Fighters because they recorded it on tape but everybody uses autotune and as long as they don't use it live: who cares. If you see a band live then you know what they really can do ;) I have seen a couple movies of them live ( they haven't been in Holland yet) and they sound also great without autotune :) a band doesn't have to be perfect, as long as they are awesome, they are
Neighborhoods isn't a bad album by any means, but this pop punk, older blink sound is so much better than the new sound. If Neighborhoods sounded like this it would be a better album, but I understand that they needed to try something new and different.
This is my favourite track from blink-182's new album, and I must say your cover is greatly enjoyable. It seems that Future Idiots truly are unmatched in their ability to do covers, so if I may be so bold as to request you attempt a cover of either, Hit That, or You're Gonna Go Far Kid, by The Offspring. I believe it would be most enjoyable. Anyway great cover, I look forward to your next cover album and especially your next original album.

@medi01 Future Idiots didn't give a shit about a genre-change, they just recorded their own take of the song which sounded moreso like TOYPAJ Blink-182

honestly i dont know if this is wrong to say...but i liked this version better than the original...forgive me Blink! lol u guys are great! you should do a remake of the album! keep up the good work!
RU-vid has kept the essence of Blink. Fans so true that they can 'translate' new Blink into the Blink we knew: pre-AVA. I love new Blink, but the void that was left because of the change is filled by people like Future Idiots. Another guy called Keezykabeezy did one or two covers really good!
@Futureidiots Like 10-15 bucks, you know like how a regular album costs xD But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be the only one who would buy it! Seriously, a lot of people would buy good money to listen to that! So you can finally get a van and come to Germany :D
