We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ru-vid.comUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
Hey Gabe love all of your videos. Quick question not pertaining to this video. Was wondering what your thoughts were on the ring base station connection do you think Ethernet connection to the base would be better than a wifi hook up. Thanks again and keep making those videos
Easy to Install, but the product is not good. The doorbell picks up motion even within the areas you have Grey out. By the the The time you view the live video the person at your door is gone.
Hey thanks for the helpful video. I got mine on prime day and installation was is. The problem is that when someone rings, the notification comes to my phone. I wonder if there's a chime for blink doorbell where we can hear everywhere in the house. Thanks
Good question! If we have not answered your question within our detailed hands-on review, we suggest reaching out to the company directly to get more information. Thanks for understanding!
I purchased the doorbell from Best Buy and it did not have the module with it as I am seeing now that some of them come with it. So without a subscription through Blink, it looks like I cannot get the live video feature? I can only store the videos on the module? So, I will have to subscribe to get live videos. Is this correct?
@@ivanafox1279 yea I think I’ve seen it in a youtube video, but i live in a good area ao I think tape should be fine honesty i don’t think it’ll get stolen

@@davetech356 I dont think so but I use my Echo dot as my chime. You can customize to play a sound when the doorbell is pressed. I have mine that says, “Someone is at the door”.. You can also use the blink mini cameras as chimes now.
It still cloud based so it's always going to have a limit on how fast and accurate it can be compared to local with what we have right now haven't seen any Wi-Fi camera get close to deep stack ai
A few problems that you can run into. Because this camera has a Wi-Fi chip it will use more battery power then the Blink outside cameras that haven’t a Wi-Fi chip. If you have the camera in a high traffic area, don’t expect to get anywhere near 2 years. Everyone had different needs so the more you use it the less battery life. If you wire it in you still need to have batteries installed. Next problem. They are not 100% reliable. More like 60%. So your going to miss out on some recording. The field of view is not as good as it should be. Last problem. It’s very easy to steal. Someone could walk away with this camera. The person taking the unit doesn’t realize that it’s registered to the house owners and can’t be installed anywhere else. It’s easy to fix that problem by buying a Blink Doorbell steel container. Adding to the overall cost of the camera.
Update; it appears that I was wrong on the Wi-Fi chip. They use a low powered chip that transmit via wifi to the sync 2 module then the sync module transmits to your router. The cameras to not transmit to your router. My using the sync 2 module to do a the heavy lifting it saved battery power on the camera.
