just a quick tip for anyone running into this problem, make sure if you just installed a usb drive or anything of that sort, make sure that your system isn’t trying to boot off that usb that doesn’t have windows on it. it’s worth a shot and that’s probably the issue if you have a usb installed. probably useful to check if you don’t want to spend 30 minutes of your time doing this.:)

i followed everything but it says the system partition was not found on the last part of the instructions please help me fix my pc.

I hope this works for me I've been trying literally everything and im literally just about to go to a pc repair shop or just buy a windows 10 disk

This can also be a Hibernate corruption possibly caused by low disk space or a UEFI boot order issue. Try disconnecting all other external or internal drives first leaving just the C:\ boot drive, then in the BIOS make sure to select Windows Boot Manager NOT the 2nd entry listing the actual boot drive (eg. P1), then reboot. Worked for me in like 2 mins.

Clarifications: cd /d for ALL drive letters. If your drive is F do cd /d f:

Massive thanks, this video came to my aid today when my PC got this and nothing else would work. Fortunately I already had a Windows 10 install drive to hand, which sped things up considerably.

this worked perfectly, my son had done this to his laptop and your exact steps worked fine. Thanks so much. I think he had been shutting his laptop down by always just holding down the power key, instead of doing windows shutdowns

So odd. I had a windows dongle and did this and it didnt work, then i downloaded the tool like you say (which ended up having the exact same bits) and it worked perfectly. Thank you man, didnt think it was gonna be so simple an answer!
