this is honestly one of the most exciting performances i have seen from any band, they are such a tight band it's unbelievable how good these guys were/still are
Amazing. The bit before the last chorus where they all seem like they're all soloing at the same time and yet remain in time and keep the pace of the song going is incredible. Has to be in the top ten best songs of the decade.
Damn. This was the year I graduated high school. I’m 28 now and I remember finding this band in 2005 on a sick day from school when I wasn’t even really sick. I would’ve killed to be 18 around that time. Going to concerts and traveling without parents restrictions and phones seems like a crazy time not far removed. I envy anyone who got to experience this moment.
The Tony Blair wonder years...before the recession... arctic monkeys and in rainbows blasting from the speakers.. god I wish I wasn't 8 years old at that time
Can you imagine if they released a new album and it was as good as Silent Alarm and they got added to the Glastonbury and Reading line ups. How mental would that performance be
Isnt it crazy to think these festival going painted up people on shoulders are now almost 12 years older, 20 year old is now 32, festival days dwindling....
Been there, done that. It's been more than 3 years but every time i see this video i feel the same things that i felt at that concert. Fucking fascinating. Thank flying spaghetti monster for Bloc Party!
I love how Bloc Party has song after song which becomes my favourite! Helicopter to Banquet to Hunting For Witches to Flux to Uniform to Ares to Mercury to One More Chance to Talons to Your Visits Getting Shorter to Compliments to Song For Clay to SRXT To England To Rhododendron to Skeleton to Like Eating Glass to She's Hearing Voices to Signs to Sunday to So Here We Are to Positive Tension to The Prayer and it goes on + repeats itself! They said new material will be released by the end/summer!
i love the way u can see how much they have grown and even on this one of thier earliest songs they throw in a bit of improv because they have learnt more and are so relaxed when playing this live :D
For some reason I think Gordon is the coolest of the band. He's just there looking like a regular indie guy and not getting much attention, which gives him a mysterious vibe, lol.
I've been watching this video several times each month since it was uploaded, just because the performance is so great, and am really fascinated about the fact that more than 50% of the top-comments in the past and now relate to this gril at 1:55.
That fucking shot at :51 seconds.... What I would do to be in that position, to witness the energy you are transferring to 50,000+ while standing still. Fucking incredible.
wow, drummer dude should really keep his shirt on.... either that or get a six-pack... XD But seriously they rock, this performance just made em my number two favourite band.... (I'm not gonna say wich is numer one, cause you'd just dissagree with me)
I like the most the begining of this song... But I hate that in all the live versions that are on youtube Kelle leaves the crowd to sing it, and the changes that they make live at this song made it worse . ):
This message is to any rock ,metal then soon tecno im in 6 aliiances were are going to gather up everyone to join ys against justin beaber fans if u want to join leave a comment
@sexme9111 For now, what they are doing now if I'm not mistaken is a sort of side project with the other three and Kele's doing his solo stuff but he'll be back :)
lol the bassist trying to say something before the song starts. also, i've seen these guys live twice, one matt tong era/one post matt tong era. Matt Tong era show was amazing!!!
"It's amazing how a little bit of sun and 50 thousand happy people can do" More like "Its amazing how a little bit of Bloc Party and 50 thousand happy people can do" :)
