Block and beam floor going in and brick work above DPC 

We finally start on the block and beam floor on this extension we’re doing..
The concrete beams and concrete blocks are a good alternative to a solid concrete over site floor.
Having a block and beam floor or a suspended floor stops the risk from soil heave movement which is what you risk from a solid ground bearing slab.
