Block planes - Unboxing a rare Preston plane SOLD for parts

These planes don't come up for sale very often.. So when I saw the Preston block plane for 'Spares or Repairs' I had to go for it.
And £20 including p&p is okay with me.

Ooo a homemade biscuit. Love it. Not sure about enthralling Paul. I've not made a video for over 3 weeks and a bit tired still from having this dreadful cold that's going around. So, I needed something light and easy to film, easy to edit and not worry over.

I’ve bought two milbro aluminium number 4 planes for doer uppers. Excited isn’t in it. Both heavily dusty oxidised so imagine how they’ll look when polished

@@twcmaker I thought exactly the same about metal plane handles, but they looked so good restored. The aluminium seems warmer psychologically than steel, then I also realised my steel rebate plane or block planes have never been an issue. I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve actually tried them though.
