Yeah this doesn’t work anymore. I blocked these contacts all the time, but their emails still come through. They come in with a red flag but nonethelsss, they are still coming in

You can unsubscribe from the known companies that you don't want to see their marketing again, but be careful when you click the unsubscribe links. I hope that helps. Hey there. I don't have Yahoo email, but I believe if you go to their website you can tag junk. If you're using something like Outlook, you can right click and label junk. I hope that helps.

The do not call list does nothing. The blocking does nothing either because they steal a different phone number or change the number they call from by a couple digits every time. I’ve probably got a thousand blocked numbers in my phone, yet I still get ten spam calls minimum a day.

Sorry I'm completely blind and I have an entire full junk folder of nothing but spam emails and I was trying to figure out how to block them so I don't keep getting them because it's all crap ton of repeats. But I'm so confused because I thought you said that we shouldn't open the email but the way you're talking it sounds like you have to open the email in order to get to their name in order to Block them 4:20

Unfortunately, some of this stuff is a little bit touchy because scammers find new ways around our defenses every day. Depending on what email client you're using, you may be able to block much of your spam using one of their built in filters. Gmail does a great job of this. If the spam is from known addresses or public companies (double check with a hover over or right click like I show in the video), then you should be safe to click on the unsubscribe button required at the bottom of their emails. Don't use this method unless you are positive. It's coming from a known source. For example someone like amazon.com or target.com. I hope this gets you started in the right direction. I have been doing all of these suggestions for months, but still getting multiple daily solicitations from one-time-use email addresses. Any spam filters for crazy addresses that contain special characters, etc.? Thanks
Hi there, sorry to hear that. What a pain. What email service are you using (gmail, yahoo, microsoft, etc) and how do you view your emails (outlook, web, etc)? Knowing will help me better understand.
@@358studios Thank you for replying! They are coming into a Yahoo email account. I view them in 3 different ways: 1) most commonly on my iPhone, 2) Using Microsoft Mail and 3) on an Edge browser logging directly into the Yahoo account.
For email, disable automatically display images. The spammers host their images, when you just open the email they are tracking it, and it tells them you're looking at the email.

That's an account where you give your email address out for department stores or signing up for newsletters but you did not ever give out your secondary email address except to friends and family. You bring up some good points as it relates to an obvious burner email account. It takes a lot of work and some interesting websites to build up a thousand spam emails a day. Most people are not trying to salvage such an account. A couple of things to note. Not everyone knows all the stuff you do about getting spam emails, but there are junk mail filters to help with that, or just simply dump that email account and open another one being more careful with sharing the address. My "methods" work great as one of the possible solutions for people that don't have a burner account and want to recover their primary account from the few spam emails they get. Regarding junk email. I'm not sure I say don't open your junk email to check it (assuming you can't determine what it is from the address and subject line... usually a dead giveaway), but I'm positive I said don't open any links from junk emails. In fact, don't ever click on any links unless you are confident of the sender. Maybe that differentiation is how you are building your daily spam email count. I don't know, but good luck with it. You're funny. It works, but sounds like you have some serious spam issues. If you haven't, it may be worth looking into a burner email. Also, check with your email provider. They have spam filters that you can adjust to block some of it. Good luck!

Hey there Sean! Yes, a lot of people can benefit from your videos. I know my mother needs help too. I had a couple hundred spasms that I had to block! I get so tired of them! Filling my email accounts!
I looked if there was other ways to stop this. I've been doing everything that you posted! Im 31 and have been helping my mom with my dad who has been diagnosed with Alzheimers (I was an "oops" baby when they thought they were done lol). It is INSANE how many spam emails he gets saying he won something. I didn't know how persistent scammers are, and how they vigorously target the elderly. Thank you for taking the time to show how to battle this issue. One thing I've noticed on some emails I've monitored is apple will have a note at the top of some emails that will let you unsubscribe from a list. When I see an email doesn't give that option, I just go straight to blocking them.

Some info for people out there, some of these spam email companies will have multiple emails that they’ll spam you with. Meaning that if you block one they already have about a dozen more ready to go. iCloud offers a feature at the top above the sender information that when clicked will send an email telling them to unsubscribe you. This feature doesn’t work with spam companies since they really couldn’t care less. Best solution? Be absolutely sure not to open the email, make sure it stays unread when you delete it. When deleting a lot of them just press edit and select all the ones you need to delete.

It is a start, but as you mentioned the best spam blocker is not to get on the list in the first place. I thought about doing another video that helps add to what this video talks about. Even signing up for department store discounts, online retailers, discounts etc. where you're giving away your email and your phone number will add you to a list. Hi Gary, haha! How deep are you in the spam dumpster? I hate it! It might be time to get a new email address and let Apple create a fictitious email address for your communication. At least they won't be able to max out your inbox. If you can avoid adding your phone number to anything that helps. I stick to a few online stores, like Amazon and Costco, and that's it. Another note, believe it or not, depending on the size of the company you work for, your employer may be sharing your information. Innocently enough, but guess who gets your information every time your employer offers a new insurance program, investment program, discounts on gym memberships and so on? If you guessed the people that spam us, you're correct! Keep fighting the battle and if you figure out a better way please let me know. Cheers.

wronggggggg! sometime our people send us something and we couldn't find it in our inbox mail then we have to go to our junk mail and search............but here you said don't open anything in the junk mails..........that is impossible......because sometime that stuffs that have been send to us go to our junk mails too............ I don't know why for that point.........and if we don't open and look at our junk mails we won't find our items........

your method doesn't help...........everybody know how to block the spam mails for their email.......but the point is if one or two thousand spam mails will been send again..........what should we do???? are we gonna sit there and blocking and unsubscribing each new mail???

Thanks so much for sharing this. I’m just wondering how to block a persons name. What is happening is they have taken a name off my friends list and then keep changing the email address so it comes up as her name but with a different email address each time. I just wanted to block her name and then change her actual name on my contact list so I would continue to get emails from her under a new name I’ve created. Then I will have her old name blocked with all the different emails they are using for her name.
Hi John, Thank you for asking. I understand what you'd like to do. I haven't seen a filter that works by name like that. Is this a gmail account? There may be a way to block the email provider or dot com address, but if they are creating new accounts every time (say gmail) the best you can do is to continue to report it and hope that your email client eventually picks up on it. My iPhone 8 does not have a "Block this Contact" selection. I can move the spam emails to the "Junk" Folder, but I don't know if that "Blocks" the message or not. Can you help me with that? Thanks.
Hi there, yes it appears that iOS version 15 does not offer this feature. Only iOS 16 and above. I believe the iPhone 8's updates stop at 15 (I hate Apple for this "planned obsolescence"). As for moving emails to the junk folder. It won't block them, but it will automatically move future emails from that sender to the junk folder. Depending on your email client/service, you may be able to go online from a computer and block that sender. I hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes. I've been on the Do Not Call Registry for year and still get tons of calls. I also block every single one of them and they still keep calling because they have an endless amount of numbers to call from. I have at least over a thousand phone numbers in my block list and still get a minimum of 3 calls per day. As for Email it a daunting chore to keep blocking, unsubscribing and reporting them. I get a minimum of 200-300 spam/phishing emails per day.
Hi Richard, wow! It sounds like you're definitely on a few lists. That's got to be very frustrating. I'm sure at this point you've tried everything, but here's few more things that have worked for me. When calls come in from spammers, don't answer. Let all your associates and friends know to text you or leave a voice message. This deters some of the spammers that are paying for massive campaigns because it does cost them money per call. No answer means a number that gets sent to the no so good file and eventually they consider it dead (this may take a year or more). The other thing that has worked well for me is not giving a phone number. Except for your bank, friends and family, and reputable shopping outlets (Amazon, Costco) don't give out your number. I only communicate with merchants through email. When signing up for new accounts (typically where they get you) check/uncheck the box that says something like, "Send me offers and deals" | "Sign up for our newsletter" | "Get free updates" | "Get more deals from third parties", etc... For email, Apple now has a way to generate a false email address that comes directly to your main email account. I'm not totally educated on this, but I think it's worth a future video. Another thing I do is I have a burner email account. Everything I do in the external world goes to that email account. My business and personal accounts are separate. Also, Gmail is pretty good with it's junk filters and spam detection. If you don't have a gmail account, consider using that for your burner account. I hope some of this helps. good luck! Cheers.
Is it possible to bulk block emails by country, I’m receiving loads of junk emails from India and have no interest in them whatsoever. I’ve blocked and marked them as spam in gmail but they keep coming through!

I agree most the spam I'm getting is coming from India and I honestly don't converse with anyone in India, so it wouldn't be a loss for me.
