Hi Matt. Concerning the planners you showed at Tsutaya and probably most similar stores in Japan, you noticed that the planners start in April and end in March. I think I cracked the code on this and the reason why Japanese planners and such things start in April is that that month is the major transition month for so many things in Japan. For instance, most schools, high schools, colleges etc. start in April in Japan. Also, the government fiscal/financial year starts in April (sort of like the US gov starts fiscal stuff in October). Further, I think many big Japanese companies and businesses have a major hiring drive in April, probably with lots of new college graduates. So I think that explains why Japanese planners conveniently start in April. Of course, the first part of May is Golden Week with multiple holidays, and you would want your planner to be ready for those entries.

That’s was awesome. We love stationary and art supplies in our house. And movies and manga. All my kind of stuff. Did they have any Sakura brand pens? They are on par with Faber Castell as far as my experience but a little more affordable. I wonder if they are cheaper in Japan. They are great for fine line work and also have tons of different colored gel pens. Dude you keep adding stuff to my list of stuff to see. 😁 Thanks for sharing.

Hard to have the want to buy physical DVD's now or even rent them when you can watch something on a streaming service. I do understand want to own something.
