A Non-Contact voltage detector might help in situations like these. It's like an oversize plastic pen with a translucent white tip that lights up red in the presence of 240V mains voltages Just hold it near any suspect wires or terminals to check. Not expensive, and a real life saver at times.

Not a corporate shill, but at home (US) we use cottennelle wipes. Before I used them, I tested them by putting them in a bowl of water - after about 30 minutes they disintegrated. Those are the only wipes I trust not to clog up our system.
@@Moose1207 that's what we use only because I saw a plumber on RU-vid test them out against other 'flushable' wipes We also don't exclusively use them. We use them sparingly for this exact reason

Most wet wipe packages in the UK have "flushable" on the label, which they are NOT. Governments need to crack down on companies which label their wipes as "flushable". But it's not just wet wipes condoms/sanitary towels/grease and all sorts of stuff gets flushed which shouldn't.
this is up there with that sewer pipe running round the side of the building the other month for how much S can come out without it coming out a politicians mouth
Anybody notice that all the other plumbers and builders all want to look as cool as possible when they're introduced on these videos?! They know how many people are watching, whereas most of the owners don't care about anything except getting their toilet working again.
Could be it was better than the alternative of stepping into traffic, sounds like a busy road and Ollie had to park on the pavement so he didn't block traffic.
'wet wipes' should be outlawed. Get one of those retro-fit bidet kits for your standard toilet and watch your toilet paper consumption drop, exponentially. And wet the little tee-pee you DO use if you need a little 'extra clean-up. I installed 2 of them on our toilets 4 years ago and haven't looked back (or used 'wipes') since!😁👍

When i see u clean up the wipes that u just pulled out i always think, nope I’m going to get the owner out here, hand them some orange gloves and let them pick it all up…perhaps they won’t be flushing them after that…great job as always
That's a good idea Mary. Maybe Ollie or other plumbers should do that and teach the owners a lesson to not flush certain things down the toilet. Like wetwipes for one and womens Tampons or as Ollie calls them "white mice" or "womens pads" and other girlie crap women flush down the toilet. I guarantee after having to go out and clean up the crap that comes out of their drains, the men and women wont be flushing, wetwipes, tampons, pads and other crap down the toilet again huh?

You might be an awesome plumber/ Jetter. But you're hosing down and cleaning up skills leave a lot to be desired. When you were hosing down that footpath, why didn't you just hose the mud and crap out into the street. By not doing that, all you did was hose dirt up and down the footpath and it was still filthy.
Its fun watching your full range of jobs - full urban business and residential to the semi-rural independant homes. Your urban and construction site ones seem to be the most complex - makes for an interesting watch to be sure. Specifically thinking of one for a 2nd floor restaurant where you were up a lift in the high garage bay below, and the various homes under construction/renovation.

Has to be 100 pounds of wipes! It looks like they flushed any wipe that was used to clean and used wipes exclusively to clean after using the bathroom. Crazy! But persistence paid off. Well done!
