Haha, same here! The GoPro really made it seem like that main stack (where everything fed into) went into the ground. I looked multiple times to try and figure that one out (even thinking maybe it went back into the wall with a 90 degree turn, but thought that would be a really bad design as things would get clogged there which led me to thinking he was releasing the pressure on the bottom pipe so he could work easier and not get drenched with sewage then go and clear out that supposed 90 degree). Ollie really is amazing at his job.
My ex wife's new house had the upstairs toilet stack blocked I spent half the day with a flat steel tape until a pen pooped out. The get wedged sideways and I suspect a blockage forms around them. What a bother.
After watching all 710 of your videos you would think I knew what a boundary trap looked like by now. I could not work out why you were jetting upstream from the blockage, until you mentioned it was an external boundary trap and then “the penny dropped”. Another great video and a job well done as always.
What are you talking about? He didn't go away from the blockage, he went right into it. You where his camera went to where the 6" dropped to 4". This is where the blockage was, away from the boundary trap. In fact, I don't understand why you even mentioned the boundary trap at all. It has nothing to do with his job in this building, in this video. There just happened to be a trap where all the pipes coming from the upper floors came down into the parking garage, and they put a trap there. There's probably multiple ones in a large commercial building like this one.
@@mikeworkman3593 Ok, ok. Geez. The OP was just saying that it looked like the vertical pipe went down into the floor. Going horizontally 'left' would then have been going away from the flow, hence the blockage. So when the trap was mentioned, the penny dropped, and he understood that the direction Ollie went WAS with the flow. At least that is how I read what he wrote. He's literally saying he misunderstood, but worked it out. No need for correction.
@@icycooldrink6085 Bro. I'm 47. I was raised by people that were born during WWI. I know what the phrase "the penny dropped" means. I get that the OP is saying they somehow misunderstood something they were watching. But the rest of your statement is pure conjecture. None of what you're saying is written in the OPs post. We will just have to see if they ever come back. Maybe 7 years from now they'll decide to see the reply and tell us something. Until then, neither of us know the real answer. Only 2 things our mentioned. That he saw an external boundary trap, and that he didn't understand WHY he was jetting away(opposite) from the blockage. The ONLY thing that can be positively gotten from those 2 things, is that the OP didn't realize that that was a boundary trap he was seeing, and that he didn't get why he was jetting in the wrong direction. And that he had some kind of epiphany. That's it. To me, it seems like the OP still thinks the blockage was to the right. NOW, if you're right, and the OP thought that the pipe went into the ground, even after ollie said like right in the beginning of the video, that the boundary trap was external, then the OP basically made a comment for like ZERO reason, becuase why would you go to all this, for like a second of confusion. I could see if the entire video was a LIE, and like the entire YT viewing audience was somehow confused, and Ollie didn't explain about the boundary trap till like after some 57 minute video, and all of us were certain that the pipe went through floor, maybe because a bucket was blocking our view of the very bottom or something, then yeah I get that. But that's not what happened. So really all of this is for nothing.
@@mikeworkman3593 Your point being what? People aren't allowed to mention misunderstanding something because it doesn't agree with some internet random? For a 47 year old, you still have a lot of growing up to do.
Ollie, I recently found your channel! I love it! You are entertaining, funny, and informative! Thank you for sharing your adventures! Cheers from the States
Okay, so the wife thinks Ollie is bad for me. She walked in around the 3:50 mark and saw the goo in the pipe. Then looked at me eating nachos and bean dip. The sounds she made were quite interesting. Good work mate. All the best.
Always a stellar job Ollie. When I finish a job I ALWAYS clean up. I do it even if the customer says I don't have to. It's not only good business, but it's something you should do anyway.
🌺...and THIS is just one of the reasons why Ollie & friends are the most-favored amongst his loyal customers! They know good service and dedication when they see it! 🌺
That is absolutely awful, but as usual you do a fantastic job. You really have balls of steel to take on these absolutely nasty challenges. Keep it up mate! 👍🐀
Man that series of pipes must be under tremendous pressure after looking at that explosion of water! I'm also waiting for the Drain Gang to return, they must've been touring the drains and sewers in Europe.
Two of the usual suspects, wipes & hand towels(paper towels), are sure fire proof that they will clog up your drains. Just look at the aftermath of them all laying about everywhere. Great job Ollie. I knew you would come to the rescue. From beautiful Senoia, Georgia, US of A!
Hi Ollie. So pleased to see you using the squeegee to clean up the mess. It seems obvious that when these buildings are designed ther is no thought given to the plumbing design or the possibility of blockages and other problems in the future. Using clinical waste bags,👍👍👍 Even bio hazzard bags too. Hope you don't have to buy them. All the best from Sue, mum from Adelaide, South Australia.
Anyone know where the Drain Gang has been? I miss Ratty, Baby Rat, Cocky, Magpie, Kookaburra and Crock! When I started watching you, Ollie, I thought you might be a bit crazy! But but within a couple videos I realized how they make the work a more fun and that you aren't crazy, you just find ways to enjoy life. But now that they haven't been around I'm finding myself kinda pissed off about it! Lol, I never thought I would find myself missing a rag tag gang of drain cleaning animals yet, here we are! Bring them back!
Hi from uk Olli and mascots 👋👍you needed a snorkel and wetsuit for this cap 🤣I thought you treated yourself to new flashlight but I think you've just acquired some new energy for faithful lumin stick lol sorry haven't commented for 6wks as cracked fone screen but still here watching and liking but first comment back 👌 always here just never there but thanks as always for time Olli be safe and see you soon 👍👋
I think thats up there with the biggest flood from cracking open the system yet. Bigger than that "arm deep dug hole when the IO was opened" one i first saw you do the full arm sleeve with for sure.
Wow another mess of wipes! At least this time you didn’t have to go fishing for them. Thanks for the explanation on the pipes, on video it wasn’t clear what the setup was. All Good 👍! Another pen for Ollie the Jetter Author!
Ollie! You are a super hero, everybody is right. The pressure on that pipe was huge! "release presure" and bam! if u put a generator there, you can light a bulb, haha. Wonderful work bro! All good! Still without understanding why peope dump the wipes into the toilet.... anyways! Excellent Job my man! God bless you and greetings from Argentina! Take care!!!
wooo-hoo you got yourself a great tool. Nice job of cleaning up and saving your back and knees. Keep em coming. So happy to see how popular you have become. Now use that squeegee like a broom to push those rags onto the shovel and save yourself the bending down again.
Felicitaciones mi hermano excelente trabajo, como siempre cuida tu salud recuerda que es el tesoro más preciado, un abrazo grande desde Bogotá Colombia
I managed a clinic. Sink drains from the examination rooms were small and drained to a collector sump, then out into the city sewage. The collector was always stopping up and it was astounded the amount of dangerous sharps and trash that I'd find.

This feels like my spiritual life everything you flush comes right back up in the basement. This was Great I gotta watch this again as ratty laughs under pressure and Ollie says BLOCKED DRAIN
Hello Olli, this Work is not a Fun. The Paper and Wets, by the Drains. You make always a a Perfekt Work, and Trimming the complete Garage. Thanks for this interesting Video. Greeting from Austria 🇦🇹
Ollie, I'd like to see you bring just Ratty back. IMO the others can stay away with all due respect. Baby Rat is too young - he belongs in rat school. Cocky is just plain useless. Croc only cares about eating. Ratty has always been loyal and helpful.
I have to disagree. Baby Rat really needs the valuable on job experience. Cocky, as useless as he maybe, just can’t be left alone and needs to be under supervision at all times and Croc really picks up the slack when Ratty just isn’t feeling up to par. Although not needed all the time, I think all the Drain Gang really contribute in some little way and always have Ollie’s back and each other’s.
Mount Poo Poo Vesuvius. Oh Mr. Ollie and team had their work cut out for them today. I know Australia does not celebrate Thanksgiving but Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. From the desert in Southern CA. The kookaburra got the best laugh today.
"It's under a bit of pressure" he says as a replica of Niagara Falls erupts into the garage. 🌊 Lol. The clean up took longer than clearing the drain. Thorough job Ollie!
Rock on to our hero Ollie, kicking messes right in their soft spots then gets rid of them for good, your the best and can’t wait to see you and shake your hand, gloves on of course. what’s happened to the drain gang? Don’t tell us they went to the dark side where all the eaten corn resides, anyway good job and have your back.😊
Love watching your videos❤ they are so satisfying also love how you clean up so well afterwards instead of just leaving it a big mess.. you are awesome keep up the great work. 😊😊
Oliver, I had to pause at less than 30 seconds. With the use of wipes in the land down under, Aussies must have the cleanest bums on the planet. Heck, it does keep you busy... Edit: Oliver, if ever you do another live stream, I would be interested to know if you have to have shots to prevent you from every human poison you come into contact with.
Wipes! Noticed something new, new to me anyway, bought some store branded wipes at our local big box store with a big Do Not Flush notice printed on the package.
