I think that skin area of the field needs water, nail dragged, and smoothed out cause it sound like it would hurt to slide on it there.

Its fall there so it definitely needs it, but the catchers have gear so coaches and trainers there don't give a fudge about their field

Nice drill, I'll definitely be using this in my son. He already blocks and frames the ball fairly well but he can definitely get better! I especially like the 3 ball drill, 2 nd year as an all star he must be doing something right!! Thanks for posting this video

People , shush abt the fields. This is how all the fields are in Arizona in public schools and rec leagues. It’s far too dry here to have such nice and lucious grass. I get the dirt, but the grass is hard to maintain here.
