A script that causes issues can impede the login process in Linux.
In our piece titled "Linux: Running a Script at Login," we demonstrated how to run a script during the login or system boot.
Crucially, the script must not "freeze" or become unresponsive. If it does, we might be greeted with a black screen during the next boot-up, rendering login impossible.
Take, for instance, mounting OneDrive on Linux. In this case, the script will cause problems unless a "&" is added at its conclusion.
