What's so cool about Nora is that as a guy I find her very entertaining and also she is a great skater. I don't know why but she has more charm that 99% of the people on TV, she' the skaterboarding world's Aubrey Plaza.
Hi! Ive just recently been checking out this youtube channel and am inspired to wanna start skating. I can ride a board like the really basics, pushing turning etc but thats about it. Also i dont have a board, pads (yes, safety first for the noob)...could someone pls recommend what i should get? I have no idea! Im medium sized, 57kg and dunno what kind of skating i wanna do atm. But grinding and tricks would be cool eventually. Any help or where to look would be much appreciated!
All personal preference really. As far as what kind of board, that depends on how serious you are about it. As you would be just starting out, I wouldn't recommend going too expensive with it. I would suggest some lower speed bearings (around ABEC 3 or 5) for learning tricks on to begin with unless you're super comfortable with lots of speed. As far as size, since you can ride already you must have ridden other people's boards, so just go on what you either are used to or if more than one what you like best. As for pads, I can't really help. I never bothered with them. Hope this helps, good luck and have fun.
go to a skate shop and ask for recommendations from an employee, they'll know how to help. you can just stand on some different sized boards and see how they feel under your feet. i agree that since you're just starting out you'll probably want to go cheaper with bearings, trucks, and wheels. the first skateboard i ever owned was gifted from a friend and i had no idea what kind of wheels or trucks they were, assuming something cheap but it was fine for a beginner since i really had no preferences. start out cruising and pumping around skateparks! be comfortable riding with some speed before taking it to the streets or else you'll eat shit (personal experience). good luck!
