Even today the BL-03 still competes with its own predecessors in terms of gaming. I'm really interested tho in the gaming performance of the CCA CRA. It would be awesome if you make a review for them. The hype for this budget IEM is just enormous.
For gaming, both competitive fps and open world single player titles, I’ve personally found gaming using IEMs to be much better for soundstage, detail highs, subtle but strong bass ….. more thunder rumble than sharp boom. In addition, you get better overall sound experience than sub-$60USD gaming headsets/headphones. Go the IEM route if your not spending upwards of $70USD on a headset / headphone setup for your personal rig.
For a hundred or less which would you recommend for escape from tarkov? Sound is very important in this game. Footsteps and also being able to locate shots fired
You don't need as much clarity in mids for gaming. You want a ear piercing 2 to 4 khz, since research has found that those are the best for sound locating, and bass so your ear can sense via intensity, the distance the sound is from you. There's a reason pro gamers use headphones with a "gaming" tuning, and it's not simply "oh they got endorsed to wear those". They ain't throwing money over an endorsement. Also, "Small" soundstage is great, because that means it's not stretched out and distances are accurate. A 4 to 6 meter difference in game will sound the same as a 6 to 8 meter difference. But on a stretched out soundstage, your ear gets confused as to "well shit was he 5 meters away or 6 meters." You aren't fooling your ear into thinking sounds are around you, you're taking a 48-0 pixel image and blowing it up onto a 4k display and going "well this doesn't look good"
You should create like a benchmark for gaming. Maybe record some game play and then use different iems to see witch ones you get more footstep ques and directional hints.
I would love to know your suggestion for a great all around iem. I am looking to get a pair of iem's to replace my true wireless earbuds when used with a Bluetooth adapter as well as my gaming headset. A set of earhook wires with a good microphone or a good wire and good affordable add on mic suggestion would be great as well
I've been looking for a second pair of iems so this video was very helpful. I have been considering the blon bl-03 and kz zs10 pro but I wasn't sure which was right for me. How would you compare them to my arias (which I got because of your review).
As someone who is been playing games or listening to music with this product for almost a year well not close but will soon be. (Ahem vaguely subjective experience) My experience with this IEM has some ups and down first the vocals are natural, the music has a little bit of sub bass roll in it, as soon as the high mids are peaked, the mid recessions problems started to occur. Increasing the lows decibels (Bass) through a third party equalizer also muddifies the mids as evidenced when playing Monster hunter world. Now to dive deep in imaging and soundstage I will say the imaging is bit above decent but the soundstage concerning height isnt, I had a relative difficulty telling whether an enemy is below me or above me, and playing cs go the steps of the enemy arent so forward that they dont cross my mind except intuitively. (Asus Motherboard Equalizer did reduce the impact of this issue by margin in a expense of audio fidelity and bass but the problem is still evident sometimes) Yeah its a bit sibilant that I had to lower the amplitude for upper ranges but even then it feels like I am dragging myself to the dark so I put it back to default or pummel it down by one point from default.
@@flaviovercetti gunfire sounds hurts in FPS games and blast sounds. you will not hear footsteps and situation where is lots of gunfire and explosion going on. dq6 has not that much bass so it doesn't hurt. well I'm saying from my experience. I know blon fans will come and correct me
@@flaviovercetti zex pro has more bass. and I said earlier more bass. not good for fps games in general. but for just enjoying the game environment its good. but i would suggest you to get dq6 or if you are still not sure. just check the IEM graph and you'll know which one to avoid and which one to get.
