Enjoy watching this video, learning a lot from you, the best teacher! Hopefully can get to see more videos from you! Very detailed, thanks very very much!😊😊😊
Hi Frances when you do hear color you should show complet hear color not hav head what is natural hear hear don't skip don't lie you hav to tell what is natural hear hear if not you lie don't skip
Great explanations and beautiful outcome, how long did all of this take from start to finish. How many different color bowls of color did you mix? At my salon we are given 2.5 to 3 hrs max for a balayage/ highlight appointment. Clients see these photos on Instagram and they want it for themselves. Given the little time we have it’s hard replicate this.
Same here. At the salon I work at in small town people arent used to paying for 4-6 hour colours and they bring in these photos expecting you to do it in an hour or two and charge max 160
A great video thank you,so detailed, this must have taken a long time!! It would be helpful to know how long it took and see the back and sides. But thank you it was very helpful!
everyone is busy watching now, probably waiting for the video to end to write some comments. but let me be the first to write while watching. Great work n technique. love it
i love your work!!! it´s amazing, thanks for your tutorial, it really helps me to do new tecniques. Iam from Chile. i have one question, i like you big comb, what brand is it? i only use the tipical comb, but it doesn´t work well with thck hair, have a nice day!
What is the bigger comb she used to back comb the back interior section? I need that. Beautiful results. I also wish they would show more of the entire look front and back.
Fantastic tutorial .l just question why you use 30vol on the previous lightened hair ? In my color line we would use less strength developer, not more . Is there a reason for this ? The result was beautiful BTW.
This is one of the most thought after works I ever done. There was a huge consideration for different parts of the hair. But, did you say you mix a fresh Boal every 15 or 50 minutes?
Hi Elinor! A fresh bowl every 15 mins or so will help to ensure the efficacy, strength, and speed of the lightener. We hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
@@KenraProfessional Thank you for replying. Hair styling is my side job, I do it mainly for the enjoyment and often feel I am not quick enough for some of these awesome techniques or styles, plus feel I am my skills are getting rusty 😥. Have a great day!
Why didn't you turn her around to see the back of her head at the end? You only show front. All that work you did and you don't show us full results .:(
Hi kenta can you do gunkey highlight brown and blond to color and what bleach you us what developer you ustell tru dont skip what is natural her hear frist befour you put bleach
Can you do something on blending a very light natural blonde into a dark color? I nevvver see this type of a client. Everyone is either super dark trying to go light or a dark blonde. But I never see anyone who is natural a 9 or 10 blonde that dyes their hair dark like I do. I have Albinism and trying to find a stylist who knows how to make my hair growout without looking like I'm balding bc of how light my natural hair is, just never happens. :(
You really can’t avoid the appearance of thinning when darkening your base more than 2 levels. They could weave in darker pieces for you but that is unsustainable because there’s no way to do a proper retouch
Hi, Mazzy! Painting in a V shape helps to create depth and contrast in an overall look. Backcombing helps to soften the contrast and create more of a seamless blend. Highlights are anything that helps brighten a portion of the hair without lightening it all over, and balayage is the freehand process of lightening the hair without the use of foils, papers, caps, etc. A shadow root is where a slightly darker color is applied at the base to create depth. We hope this helps!
Technically, a traditional balayage does not need foils and the lightener is only painted on the hair. For traditional balayage, we recommend Simply Blonde Clay Lightener because it has a kaolin clay in the formula that dries on the outside while staying wet on the inside, allowing the hair to process and lift without having to worry about product transferring to other hair. However, many people like to create a balayaged effect while also utilizing the additional lifting support and incubation of foils. This is called "foilayage." You can create a seemless blend off the scalp and feather the lightener upwards for a lived-in, hair painted look, and then enclose it in a foil to help hair that needs a bit more help lifting. You can absolutely also foil sections that you have previously backcombed. This is the beauty of our industry-- you are the artist and can let your creativity flow however you see fit!
Some hair was highlighted with Simply Blonde Blue Powder Lightener + 20 Volume and some was left out. The hair that was left out was overall toned with the Demi-permanent SV & B Rapid Toner.

Hi there! Flat foiling is a geat option to make sure there is no overlapping of hair that does not need to be-- while also ensuring great saturation in the section. It is especially helpful on long haired clients. Thanks for watching!
