great game and beautiful armies guys! The Sons are absolutely stunning (not that the Angels aren't, we have just seen them before! ;) ) couple things to note for you as far as rules from the game: @53:16, you can wait to declare your Shooting reactions until after armor saves are failed but before damage mitigation, so you could have saved your evade reaction until you saw that only one of the terminators was going to die before making that choice (it's not like last edition where you had to Jink before any dice were rolled, so your instincts are good on that at least but not necessary anymore!) (pg. 160 AoD Rulebook) (also same thing at 1:25:45 with Ral against the lone melta-gunner) @54:00 same thing with the Assault reactions; you declare them after charge distance is determined (rolled +/- any modifiers, etc.) but before any models are moved, so you could have waited to see the SoH terminators were going to fail their charge and then Overwatch them instead of Holding the Line (pg. 160 AoD Rulebook) @54:40 Day of Sorrows does not allow you to Deep Strike, Outflank, or Subterranean Assault so your javelin shouldn't have been able to Outflank (pg. 252 Liber Astartes) @57:18 krak grenades do not have a ranged profile, they are melee only now (pg. 142-143 of Liber)(and not that it mattered here) @58:28 Rending attacks do not add the +1 to armor pen for being AP2; it is resolved at the base AP of the weapon so the drop pod should not have exploded (pg.246 AoD Rulebook) @1:20:55 those assault marines had Hatred(Everything) from the RoW, which the Apothecary would have also gotten as he is part of that unit for all intents and purposes (pg. 116 Liber Astartes) These are of course nit-picks and it is totally understandable to miss stuff when playing, much less recording. I say these things because I think you guys have some of the best Heresy batreps on RU-vid at the minute and want them to be as good as they can be, and I know a lot of new players are looking for batreps they can learn from! Great work guys, great game, and keep up the great content!

Great Battle Guys. Turn 1 when the Terminators were shooting at the Dawnbreakers, you should have considered using the blood angels advanced reaction. You would have got the hammer of wraith from charging into him with the jump packs, you would have been wounding on 2s rather than 4s, and you would have got an extra attack on each dawnbreaker, rather than the terminators getting the extra attack. Could have drastically changed that combat.

At around 40:40 a comment is made about wounds for combat resolution. Excess wounds never count. Pg 188. Beautiful armies and a great batrep! Looking forward to more!

Really would love to see how you made the bases on the Dawn breakers. Looking to do something similar and absolutely love yours. Standard jump bases are just janky.

Too bad that the vaunted Sons of Horus lose every game I've ever seen them in, usually a total embarrassing disintegration. They probably couldn't defeat an army of infants.

Loved the video. For blood angels though its +1 to wound not plus 1 strength its only plus one strength if youre ramming +1 to wound most of the time is better than +1 strength

Really enjoyed this game with some great highs and lows throughout and nice armies too. I’ve recently had a discussion with other players regarding reserves/ deep strike assaults/flanking assaults etc. They seem to think you can’t assault when arriving from reserve. Which you can’t from a standard reserve move. Though i read it as you can providing you are in a deep strike/ drop pod/ outflank and subterranean assault group specifically. I see you played it this way so am i correct.?🤔

Good looking table and beautiful miniatures. But I don't see the slightest sense in playing SoH in this edition. I'm leaving aside the fact that I haven't seen them win on YT in HH2.0, but they are simply incredibly expensive and slow models, with weapons that are effective at short range.... resulting in low numbers on the table, which makes them very vulnerable to response, and the biggest problem is the lack of a cheap and effective way to deliver them into battle. The Dreadclaw has lost assault, and vehicles are now lethal to transport models, especially with T4 and a very high price in points.

Wow, that's a pretty sad game for the Sons of Horus player. Just trounced. Bummer the legion never seems to win on RU-vid. Drop lists are really struggling without assault vehicles.
