WOW what a nail-biter! Even though perhaps off-screen Steven gave a lot of assistance as commented in the end 'dice tell the stories'. Yet the perseverance to overcome them as shown by just now tight this match was in itself a story all on it's own! Cheers to both players, the comradery was especially wholesome.

When Nick moved those Piranahs in round 1, he automatically forced a battle shock test on the nearby marines (within 12 inches).

@nickfroese Cool. Another thing I noticed in Round 1 was that you had the Piranahs spot for the 2nd Skyray on the Terminators. The piranahs shot prior to the Sky Ray and the 'For The Greater Good' rule stipulates that the Obersering unit has to be eligible to shoot. Since the Piranahs shot already, it's technically no longer eligible to shoot unless I'm interpreting the rule incorrectly?

@@mantis114 Unless a unit Advanced or Fell Back this turn or is Locked in Combat, it is eligible to shoot, even if no models in that unit are equipped with ranged weapons shooting dosent remove the eligibility

First battle report I'm watching of you guys, and I gotta say, they're the best I've seen. Not too long, understandable, tactical and overall enjoyable! Just one precision : Stephen, you can reroll the hit roll of those Death Company Marines also in shooting at 16:28. And since it's all Inferno pistols (which I love, as a fellow Blood Angels player) it could have made a difference ;) Also, bad luck for failing that roll on the Libby Dread first turn... Thanks for the work guys!

The best part about the Tau's shooting is that it makes almost every unit that survives sound absolutely incredible "it took an entire strike force of combined arms to kill six terminators, one still charged out of the glowing hole of lasfire"

Steve has to be careful with Rites of Battle tho, its one free stratagem per battleround not per turn. he did use it quiet often i think.

Dunno if it matters but you cant actually get rid of a secondary to get a command point in battle round 5. Its on the leviathen cards pamphlet. I also believe youre supposed to get rid of 2 secondary cards that arnt fixed if you use tactical missions. That mightve been already performed pre game and behind scenes but it makes interesting game choices

I wish space Marines were good at shooting. They don't feel elite for being an elite army they just feel kinda okay at each thing which is really bad in a game where different phases are more important than others with how the turns work.

I played the dark angels with my tau using a similar army but i used only one devil no stealth suits ethreal / skygunship, baracuda or vespid / fire team i used everything else nick did but add to where i deducted the units above ( 6 crisis suits a gunship 2 path team with 1 stryder and a surge . I tabled the dude but 61:49 i lost in the end Did not move up fast enough he used fixed i used tatical ..... After i sunk everything important i should had moved up lol
