Bless you! My clinical trainer is too busy this week with MTPs. You're a life saver. I could probably fumble through with just my memory of class labs and the hospital SOP, but you've given me confidence while I try type and screens by myself and wait for things to settle down in the hospital.
Great question! While I do not think this career is meant for everyone I don't regret it! My original career goal was to become a physician...BUT I did not even know this field existed! Once I found out about the profession I was easily hooked! It allows me to use my love of science, technology, and working with my hands to get to the root of patients' conditions. I feel like I am helping people heal and thrive instead of returning for ambiguous care.
@@Makaylah13 both are really great fields! I think it boils down to how you would want a normal day to go. Sonography or Radiology would put you in direct patient contact. The laboratory would not. Both are considered diagnostic fields (imaging versus testing) and are very visual. Sonography may be more repetitive whereas, depending on the facility at which you work, may provide more variation.
