I care for an older gent with a crumbling spine, and he had difficulty getting anyone to believe his ribs had problems too, but a long-delayed x-ray showed up a whole bunch of hairline fractures from falls. Listen to your body...
It kinda sucks ending up a reconnaissance unit for others, but I think your wisdom/experience sharing goes a long way. I hope you still get to have many meditative photography moments.
