Killed? Naw. Too many questions would get asked and those subordinates would be found and killed. But yes, realistically, MOST would've taken the diamonds and shot the smuggler. They'd have distributed the diamonds between themselves and pretended the whole encounter never happened.
As an African i can also confirm that this scene is very unrealistic. Every police officer is underpaid by the goverment and therefore corrupt. They would take ~ 100$ - in case of diamond smuggling - maybe up to 1000$ from him and just let him go. Arresting him....😂 to scare him so they can squeeze more money out of him that`s probably the goal.
I'm not so sure man. If he shoved them up his ass like a normal person, this officer would never analy probe someone who is good friends with Kernel Kotzie. Lol
Jeff Hossburner "the one honest man" lol...,and all diamond going into his pocket...,and some of it he will share with his comrade...,typical african officers are greedy and nasty as always...
A Good man , Good soldier. When you see someone like that. Don't be sad. You should be proud to see it , Because It's a good thing that's rare in this country. And now...go to sit proudly in the prison. XD
Well, is it a little sad because that guy was most likely killed by his own. People who don't take bribes can't be trusted working for a government that does.
I like to think it was his accent that gave him away. A White South African reporter for National Geographic that he hasn't ever seen before, walking through the Sahara like he's done this a million times before? He was acting way too natural, if you know what I'm saying.
De Beers are largely to blame for the price of diamonds. They came up with advertising campaigns where an engagement ring should contain a diamond and cost 3 month's salary.
He wasn't born yesterday. Like... He obviously was patrolling this cut of land for long time, knew local cattlemen, and maybe he knew tricks used by smugglers.
@@alexsoklakov7454 Yes that may be so. But its funny how he goes straight to the goat which has the diamonds. He didnt touch or examine any of the other ones.
If you watch closely, he approached all the goats, and examined the one who didn't ran off. Normally, for the smugglers to stash the diamonds into one of the goats, they need to make it become docile/used to human presence or interaction. So the guard was looking for the one that wouldn't run away initially. That's how he got the one with the diamond. That's how i understood it.
@@umarrayyaan3846 don’t you think the officer uses the cigarette pack of Archer as a scent for the goat to stay calm since the goat is used with that particular scent sense? By the way the officer does some clicking with the cigarette pack, not sure what he exactly does!
A huge amount of guns in Africa ended up there after the fall of Soviet Union.Various political figures that fled the country took shitloads of armory and sold them wherever they could in order to obtain money and new lives. There were off course European mercenaries that also ''contributed'' to black market weapons sale. This war happened in the late 90's,so those guns are either remnants of the many civil wars in the continent,or got there by ex-Soviet personnel.
He knew based on Archer. He looked him in the eye and knew he wasn't working for Nat Geo. When you see shit that a soldier sees, the look in your eye is different than someone who works on a farm. You've seen some shit and your eyes will never forget.
ONE honest officer is what he had to run into to set the entire story of this movie off lmao. in a while government of corruption and smuggling it was this guy who ruined everything for him
Every other Cop would've taken. But this one.Not. Wtf??? But If I would be the Cop, I'd have took the diamonds. Doesn't matter this is 10000 bucks minimum.
