What’s the window of strip In the exam they give you a sample blood in a squeeze bottle. You squeeze one drop to the strip however it goes over or fills not to worry Ensure you hold it over the tray. Usually the strip takes in blood as much it needs to display result. Thank you HST Learning
Ask the patient if she has previously been prick and location. Say: I asked because I need to rotate the pricking site. This should be said before pricking patient. Also avoid pricking the thumb and index fingers.
You can do this before you remove gloves, but in OSCE it is understood when giving cotton swab, you verbalise patient to press hold the cotton. Most patients generally throw the cotton away after few seconds …. Giving cotton is most important
