Blood Incantation at Dante's 10, 13, 2019 -Full Set 

Why is that?? They sound just like Immoltion and Incantation to me. What makes them better than hundreds of other DM bands?

@@EyeTunz well, I don't like telling people what they should or shouldn't do, but you really need to pay attention to all the things these guys do. The first time I listened to them I was like: "what's so special about those guys?" but one day I sat down with my headphones, and went through their first album and that's when I got it. There are great structures, great solos, a good amount of experimentation and solid riffing, great songwriting too. They are very versatile, they can play heavy, proggy, they also have some great atmospheric parts. Obviously those bands you mentioned are there, they are an influence, Death and Morbid Angel too, but BI are no copycats, they have their own thing. If you can take the time, listen to these guys more carefully. On the surface they may sound just similar to others bands from the past, but the more you listen, the more you discover things. At least that's what happened to me.

@@EyeTunz Lmao what? Immolation? Really? The only thing I can see similar to Incantation is name alone. Literally no technical aspects in immolation or incantation. If you maybe said Timeghoul, Mithras, Nocturnus, Morbid Angel then I'd agree with you.

@@theunholinesswithin70 The Ironbird is considered being one of BC Rich's finest products. Morbid Angel's Trey use them, and a lot of other influent guitarists in this genre use them as well. I'd be glad to try one out.

you dont need to entirely and completely re-invent the wheel to be a good band. Also, this band sounds more like Timeghoul than anything else, so maybe listen to that if you have a problem with bands not being as original as they were able to be 30 years ago

[ Eye Tunz ] [HD] Its no frills and it’s done extremely well. They’re also quite a bit different from the bands you mentioned in a lot of ways, though it is clear that they draw inspiration from a lot of old school death metal. I would agree with the dude above and say that they’re probably most similar to time ghoul. There’s nothing wrong with guys paying tribute to a genre they love and trying to keep it alive; it’s like saying all stoner doom is a total ripoff because it’s inspired by Black Sabbath. I won’t lie, I was kind of in the same boat you were the first time I heard them, and didn’t really understand all the hype. But they have grown on me a lot. Shit the first song on their latest record is just nothing but killer riffs, and the dudes vocals are batshit crazy sounding at times. I think the decent amount of buzz they’ve gotten is very well deserved!

Morbid Incantation or Blood immolation? hehe anyway, it is great to hear this kind of riffs again
