The thing is first it was Zeus, which he’s paying for, then Hera waging war, and Hades being no better than them with his own actions and collab with demeter though understandable in a sense, which god is next to rip a new one honestly, Ares, Poseidon, the cycle could go on and on and the humans pay for the gods’ pettiness, yh i would wanna wipe the slate clean of all the olympians too

At least they got Hades right for once not as some being of pure evil but a God that’s truly misunderstood. Like how Hollywood made Hades into a villain because he rules the underworld. The truth is he’s actually the fairest of the gods and the other gods are bad and most of them are rapist especially Zeus. And I can’t wait to see Typhon animated a being for both half god and Titan that would be insane to see.

I’m glad more of the Gods got speaking roles this season, the Goddesses in particular as we really only got Hera and the Fates in season 1, this season we got Hestia, Athena, Persephone, Artemis and Demeter along with more Apollo, Poseidon, Ares, Hermes, Hephaestus and Hades, a lot of Hades, we even got one scene with Iris and Aphrodite talking, Iris inclusion was a big surprise, though I had hoped to hear more from Aphrodite as she spent most of the season just being Ares silent consort, Hades portrayal was done incredibly well and I genuinely felt bad for both him and Persephone, I am still angry with him for what he did to Heron, but I appreciate that the decision to do what he did clearly hurt him and it was done out of love and desperation, not out of malice for his demigod nephew who has never personally wronged him.

It is kind of wild how little they've included Aphrodite, which is such a shame, because love is such a prominent theme so far in the show. You'd think she's have some interesting things to say. Plus her rocky relationship with Ares has me surprised she's so tied to him here. Still love all of it though. So fun to watch

@@minecheese6357...... he did have a reason? His and Persephone's phrase of being together was said since ep.1 and has been repeated throughout S2. It all built up to this moment. That's why he killed Heron (with great remorse). Still the wrong thing to do but I really can't blame him. He's one of the fairest Olympian gods and maintained the Underworld for eternity (as he was ordered). But like he said, being isolated and neglected like that for so long would take a toll on anyone in his position. It's not out of nowhere If the slate got wiped again and Hades returned to the Underworld like it was yesterday, do you honestly think he wouldn't do it again?

I wish they could explore other mythos too except for The North Mythology (it has been exploited too much already). But there are mythos that could work similarly to this one, such as, Egyptian, Sumerian, Peruvian, Mayan, Incan, Celtic, Scandinavian, Japanese, Indu, Chinese, Mongolian or Nigerian too

I liked that show a lot. It was full of action and a bit of mystery, and I'm also a huge fan of Greek mythology (because I read all the Percy Jackson books) Though I didn't quite understand the ending of season 1 (I guess?) where Zeus just...dies?...and his son becomes the new Zeus?...

Io(wanderer), Alcmene(Moon"s power), Europa(wide face) are all characters based on moon paired with starry heaven. Even Hera(Yearling, heifer, ox-face=waxing crescent moon), the queen of heaven. Also that's the reason why Hera & Artemis had overlapping domain.

I hope Hera's change of heart is genuine. I actually really liked what they did with her this season, especially her speech at the end. Begging the other gods not to make her same mistakes, and actually not partaking in the battle at all. (We know she ain't afraid to throw down, so it's like she was scared).

Why is Heracles completely absent in the series? He gets mentioned briefly by Zeus in S1 so we know the series takes place after his death so he should be living in Olympus with everyone else

In Greek mythology Heroes go to the Elysium Fields which are in the Underworld. Olympus is the home of the Gods its not Heaven/the after life. If you are not a god then you don't get to go to Olympus.

This annoys me so much. if you absolutely need a devil equivalent for these mythologies then Hollywood should use Kronos and Apep/Apophis. underworld doesn't=hell. in Greek mythology the "good place" and the "bad place" are both in the Underworld just in different parts. I hate Disney Hercules for making a lot of people believe that Olympus=Heaven that is not at all how that works.

Guys I have a theory I think Zeus in this story cut Herons string, but not for the reason you think. Maybe Heron wasn't meant to be achieve greatness and would in turn die badly. I think Zeus knew at some point there would be a war for the throne because all the Gods are greedy and power hungry as he has been with them for long, so he purposely died so that he could go to the underworld to get Heron out as he knew Heron would die as he cut his string. So he would then him to be the king of Olympus while at the same time exposing the other Gods. Maybe I'm reaching but its hard to think that the most powerful God of them all died and was just locked up so easily by Hades and there's not more to it.

I'm shocked that heron became a unfortunate victim after making peace and forgiving the gods but in the end the worst betrayal was hades and the god lust for power and dominance such as hera extreme nature culminated of what happened in the end of season 2 knowing she and zeus brought olympus downfall and the gods meddling of the mortal world now gaia with no remorse for her children and grandchildren would punished them and bringing a new war for the downfall of the olympians which is typhon a being created from the earth of gaia more poweful than the gods and titans combined signaling the rise of the titans which Kickstart the second titanomachy in season 3.

@@ClarusDuah-ke2jzLucifer isn’t Greek Mythology. Typhon is THE most powerful creature in Greek Mythology without counting the primordials. Even gods had a very hard time defeating him. In the actual myths, all fled to Egypt in fear and only some came back to fight him. The rest came back only after he was defeated.

The ending was deserved justice. None of them (asides from a smidgen) were worthy of power as Gaia stated. Petty and cowardly gods who cared not for the state of the world. Hades as far as I am concerned was a coward. Blaming his woes on Zeus yet when he was tested, he failed most woefully in honour; a thing he was so quick to accuse Zeus for. I did feel for him and his love, but the road he took was nothing short of shameful and a coward's way of victory.

i thought this s2 would meet perseus and hercules because s1 saw zeus mention them when training heron i thought the two of them could live on mount olympus with the others. Where are the two of them now in elysium or in the constellation that belongs to them as in mythology. I remember a few mortals being transformed into gods so why don't those two have this privilege.

I think Hades is Ares' biological father not Zeus which is why Zeus always resented Ares and Ares feeling like he had to constantly prove himself to everyone and plus Ares looks more like a mixture of Hera and Hades then Hera and Zeus and it would explain why Zeus always cheated on Hera time and time again meaning the joke would be on Ares as his a bastard himself 😅😅😅😅😅😅
