Greetings! :) Legacy of Kain games series, I consider one of the most wonderful games and an object of my eternal love and inspiration.
I got the idea to shoot a Skyrim Machinima dedicated to the beginning of Blood Omen 1.
Remembering all these forgotten attempts to make a remake of the very first game, I thought about what Blood Omen Legacy of Kain would look like on the Skyrim engine :)
And well, this is my little homage to my favorite video game series.

Приветствую ! :) Серия игр - Наследие Каина как я считаю одна из самых чудесных игровых серий и предмет моей вечной любви и вдохновения. Я загорелся идеей снять машиниму посвященную началу игры Blood Omen 1.
Вспоминая все эти канувшие в лету попытки сделать ремейк самой первой игры,(на движке обливиона, скайрима и блоод оминсайд)
я подумал, как бы выглядил Blood Omen Legacy of Kain на движке Скайрима :)
Вообщем это моя небольшая дань уважения моей любимой серии видеоигр. Приятного просмотра :з
P.s. ...И я был бы Вам очень признателен еслибы кто-то смог сделать ютубовские субтитры английские, украинские, русские...пожалуйста :D

Thanks! :) In truth, I don't think young people will get it. For the modern generation, something like LoK is already perceived as something archaic :D But in any case, we need to try :)

@@kendorwashere6450 yeah, that is unfortunately true. I'm worried that a remake won't do the original justice. A lot of the lore was in writing rather than on screen. But the main storyline of Kain is fascinating, especially after his ability to move through time. That just adds a whole different aspect to Soul Reaver 1 once you know that lol

2 of the greatest games to ever grace my life. It's a long and bitter aftertaste that the BO or LoK series is dead and no one has the ever thought of reviving it. Small efforts like this make my trip to memory lane sweeter.

LoK became for me a great example of when developers put all their talent and soul into games :) In a way, it's good that the series is dead. Otherwise, knowing the modern trends of today's world, the game would definitely be vulgarized and defiled with ignorance and stupidity. The series ended on a high note and this is better than the fate of something like game of thrones, star wars and others.

It's a crying shame that no other games in this franchise were created. Yes, I know about the cancelled Dead Sun & Nosgoth games, same goes for them too. Also saddening is that many of the original voice actors have passed away, it won't be the same without them. They can try to find new voices but it still won't be the same.

@@labelledamedumanor4876 I was so exited for LoK: the dark prophecy, it was set up after defiance and it was gonna focus on kain and give him more abilities like the 1st blood omen, in story i think it was going to show us more about the Hylden and expend the lore but they cancelled the project ... here video show some of the game concept arts: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-79nku277BAg.html

The concept behind that multi player game nosgoth is really interesting though. It could have actualy found it's way into cannon since Kains genrals and armies did war with eachother after Raziel's execution humans were involved too. It really ticked all the boxes for a possible future interactive installment during that time period bringling along with it the new character designs and landscape. Dead sun too, but not as potent as nosgoth.

Thank you very much ! :3 Yeah its actually funny - in the scene where Kain's death occurs - I could not force the bots to do a finishing blow on him in the back, as a result, about 10 takes were filmed there where Kain was beheaded and beaten in hand-to-hand combat like a trash bag :DD

I think he meant to leave the sword impaled into Kain's body in the fire scene so that Mortanius takes it off his body, just like the audio implies.

Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it :) Legacy of Kain is my favorite games. I will never forget it :) It's sad that Square Enix won't revive the series. Blood Omen has the potential to become a game like or even better than the Witcher for example. Ideas, setting and replayability - everything is there! And they, like the last idiots, miss such an opportunity, honestly I do not understand this its beyond stupidity :(

@@kendorwashere6450 the problem is that (not sure) I heard that the writer actually quite crystal dynamics and joined naughtdog to write the uncharted series, the problem is square enix doesn't know what to do with it and how to continue on the twisted end, so they just focus on other games

Expressing my approval of this content. Legacy of Kain was and still is my favourite franchise. I hope they finish the story some day, even if it's just in comic book form or something. We simply need to have an official end.

Knowing how modern games are made in our time...it is a blessing that the game will not be perverted and turned into something terrible and stupid :D Of course I would like it to be finished...but I'm afraid that Square Enyx is not the right choise of people to this kind of games)

Mine too :) The problem here is not so much the popularity of the series, but in the square enix themselves. The fact that they do nothing with LoK only shows their lack of understanding of the potential that their IP's have.

Oh no I meant your series. This project that you made. I hope to be successful so you can complete all the cutscenes in skyrim. As for Lok itself. Square Enix can't complete Legacy of Kain simply because this is not a mere game. The amount of depth, the writing, the atmosphere. All these can't be achieved by simply having money. You need talent as well. For me legacy of kain is equivalent to ancient myths, like the 12 labors of Hercules and so on. Even today I still rewatch the videos and analyze them.

Very cool! The Pillars could look more weathered, cracked, corrupted, and Kain could have been killed by a backstab animation instead, but otherwise very well done

Thanks ! c: I actually not a mod maker, i just fly and film it all via console command :) Mode creator made only pure and not corrupted pillars, so i just shoot what i have :) in the scene where Kain's death occurs - I could not make bots to do a finishing blow in the back, and as a result - 10 takes were filmed, and Kain was beheaded, beaten in hand-to-hand combat x)) It was very hillarious :D

Love the original voice recordings. Even when it sounds low quality due to the age, it's amazing how the voice actor was able to put such high quality voice over to Kain (and the whole saga tbh). I don't think a remake would reach the quality of the original just because the voice actor is no longer with us. And if a new actor is able to provide such amazing performance as this one, I'll be happy to eat my words while delighting myself. Awesome video, loved everything.

Kain's actor (Simon) is still very much alive but we lost Rene, Paul and Tony (Janos, Vorador and the Elder God).

Thank you very much! :) i wish it too, but i restricted with mods/models and what and how to film it, to make this look familiar with original games. Editing is take a lot time when you bind together all footage, voicelines and other stuff. Basically a short movie editing, but its enjoyable :D And am a Ukrainian citizen and with war and all this horror and stress i don't have inner strength yet for big project like this, for now at least... Well If i survive, i will definitely try continue this one day :D

Hi ! :) Thank you very much ! Well Malek vs Vorador fight is literal hell to shoot, bots act like a morons not hitting eachother like i planned :D I decided do myself a actors for them using a defaulth Skyrim resourses. I literally sculpted my Vorador from dark elf model via showracemenu :D And for Malek i used a modded variant of orc closed helm because its looks like something "sarafan". Its so clunky but atleast its something :)

Благодарю ! :) Хех та не за что с: Второй блад омен кстати несмотря на все его минусы и скажем так..."сюжетные странности с Ворадором" вполне себе нормальная игра :D Мне нравится в нем эта стимпанк - индустриальная атмосфера, оно буквально навевает воспоминания по Thief 2 : Metal Age. Ну и мне нравится что там более менее удовлетворительная боевая система. Там хотя бы ты можешь сразу отправить к Елдеру всех противников, а не танцевать вокруг них с копьем как в первом Соул Ривере с этими несчастными, бессмертными думахимами :D

THIS IS PERFECT FOR A MOVIE IDEA! I can picture Kain in the far future recounting his story to a sympathetic human. Picture this, Kain possibly begins to feel his undead existense a burden at some point but clearly he is not the suicidal type. In the present day, he encounters a human who wants to end his/her life due to personal trauma, he suceeds in talking his new friend out of it & offers the dark gift, human turns it down saying, "I can't handle that kind of existence, killing the guilty does sound appealing, but the innocent?..... NO THANK YOU!" How would Kain react to that? Please answer in the comments below mine.

Hmm...yes it would be cool to see it as a film, where the narration takes place like the story of old Kain that he tells to some Sarafan warrior, something like Interview with the Vampire movie :)

@@kendorwashere6450 . Or a disillusioned ex-hunter, not necessarily a Sarafan. The time period would have to be when hunting vampires was falling out of favour due to modern advances in medicine. You know, getting blood without needing to kill for it.

I would have made the pillars darker, representing that they were already corrupted, but I think this is all amazing... Now we just need someone who can make an entire Blood Omen mod for Skyrim and recreate Nosgoth...

Mod author only made a clean version of pillars :) i tried to make color correction while edited but it looked not well so i left like this :) I wish it too c: maybe someday there will be something...or we live up to remaster or remake xD

Спасибо большое ^.^ я помню как смешно было снимать сцену где происходит смерть Каина - я никак не мог заставить ботов сделать на нем добивающий удар в спину, в итоге там было снято где-то 10 дублей где Каина и обезглавливали, и в рукопашную лупили...вообщем Боже х)

@kendorwashere6450 did you hear that they are making a new game. They made a survey and expected 7 ir 30,000ppl to submit. Not 100,000 did. The asked what we want to see for the game. They got all the rights back including tombraider.

@@gundam7401 Well, I wouldn't refuse just remasters like Shadowman :) If they do make a full-fledged remakes, I think it would be good if it looked like something like the last two Castlevania's Lords of Shadow 1/2 :)

Great video. Something always bugged me when Kain killed all those guys in the rain. Raziel said that water was like acid to a vampire so wouldn't Kain be in extreme pain when the rain touched his body? I know I'm just nit picking. The original game developers probably had a million things on there mind other than if the rain would damage him.
