In this series come along with me in figuring out the fishing secrets in Westernport. With October comes Snapper season, and the reds have started coming into the bay. This was easily the toughest mission of my fishing journey so far.

Well done brother I know exactly how you feel been going out the last 7 weeks and donuts until a week ago up at the top end of western port in only 6 metres of water I got my PB Snapper which you will see in the video coming out shortly. That feeling of relief as the snapper hits the next makes every other second of being out there worth it. WELL DONE MATE 👊🏽👌🏼🔥🔥🔥

Snapper in Wp is so tough for the best fishos but the rewards for huge snapper are there time on the water is the key Congrats on a great catch

congrats, i know that feeling, Early season is always a mental challenge. Many hours for nothing. Like you I got my first for the season at eagle around the same time. That place is hard fishing but very rewarding. Just sent you a fb friend invite. I'm always on the water.

Weed is never ending in the humbling bay, the port jackson are on steroids and the snapper its known for are usually larger than the average school fish. You my friend have done some absolute hard yards to get to land this fish. I hope to see you out here more often having a crack at that big one for your second wp red. Congrats again man great effort and top job not giving up!

Why do people like prefer to try get wp snapper when it seems so much rarer when they could go ppb? Is there any specific reasonings

I'm asking the exact same question haha. They're easier to get in port Phillip but to many fishing is about the reward, and when its harder it feels better. And even though it's more difficult, WP is renowned for the bigger fish
