If you watch the whole video, it really shows all the things nurses have to be mindful of doing the correct way. I'm not a medical professional but I found it very interesting. Nurses are very admirable and skilled.
I agree but I don't really blame her... I mean, WTF the way she used the giving set, she put it on the bed, onto the locker, she must have even dropped it on the floor judging by the sound and most shockingly... No fking gloves!!! As a Band 6, she should know better, ESPECIALLY since this is supposed to be an educational video... Terrible!!!

Cosmica _77 it’s okay. i’m going to say how canadians measure hemoglobin. so the lowest i got was at 64. the last time it dropped it was 72. as for my treatment it’s going well, unfortunately i’ve been struck with a cold. how are you doing?
Arisha Ahmed I just have come back from a transfusion and it went well, I got three bags of blood per usual. I know that sickness can effect your numbers, have you noticed any changes? If you don’t mind me asking, what type of leukaemia do you have? My older sister had Acute lymphoblastic leukemia from the age of 1-4 years old, but is doing well and has had no relapses. My haemoglobin was 93 but it has dropped to 32 once before.
I'm not a nurse or medically qualified but I AM medically minded. The mistakes I spotted. 1. No gloves until well into the procedure 2. She gave the DOB to the patient and said yes or no? Surely you'd ask the patient to recall the info. 3. Ignored Red Cannula Site 4. Proceeded without wristband present on Patient 5. The wires were tangled which she handled rather unprofessionally in my opinion. 6. Used medical terms when describing the side effects - Pyrexia, I'm medically minded so I knew that but not sure most patients would.
Definitely, this video created for students to find out mistakes. No PPE, Line on the bed, cannula little bit red, no second check. I'm sure she is not stupid as she is band 6. Even band 5 doesn't do things like this

I was watching this wondering why she made so many mistakes wondering if it was joke, when she said the canular was abit red and sore but itl be alright i was like what the fuck? This video should say at the start the wrong way, there is nothing in the title saying this contains the right and wrong way.
