Judging by the end of the clip where they explain blood types very incorrectly....id say they could probably do for a few more chats about blood types.
Sadly the hospital told me my daughter was O+ when she was 3 years old. They tested the blood ON her. Mine. We found out she was A- when she went into the military at 18. Wild ride that was ! All 3 of My children decided to be tested and get DNA cause " Mom" must be a lying whore. All three are mine and their father's kids. They refuse to speak to me since their testing came back to prove I was correct , not a lying whore and my lying Ex's family were just evil. It's been a crazy 6 years of total crap. Dad is A/O I'm O/O .... I hadn't done a thing wrong but, guessing since everyone convinced them I had??? I'm disowned, now.
One of my fears is something like this, going to the hospital and getting a blood transfusion without being conscious, my family there, or my proper medical chart; or them just ignoring the medical chart because they have no idea what it is. Basically I have a rare immune type. As I have been told my body carries an imbibed immune cell within my red blood cells, this isn't the normal ABO indicators. You see when you add the wrong blood type to a person their body fights against the new blood because it doesn't match the indicators; now what my blood does is that instead of the body fighting the blood, the blood fights the body. When my blood comes into contact with blood missing this hidden indicator the cells start producing more of this antibody, sorta like a virus taking over the hardware. The body that has my blood in it would think the blood is normal and send it nutrients so it can keep processing, so my blood continues attacking. Due to this I am banned from donating blood obviously, but if I ever get massively injured I can not get a blood transfusion as my body will always reject it.
Lupus likely hasn't been with him his whole life at the same intensity. Quite possible he got his blood type tested during say middle school body exam, when his blood was still normal, and that's the correct answer he gave House. It's only later on that lupus caused his antibody to go hayware.
@@v.567 yes, you can use forward typing (commercial antisera testing against patient blood cells) and reverse typing (using antibodies in patient plasma against commercial red cells) to figure out blood types. This episode hinges on no one actually knowing anything about blood types, or how blood bank operates (which requires testing of forward, reverse, AND a crossmatch between the patient plasma and donor blood) any discrepancies would be caught and tested against by the blood bank technicians and none of this would have ever happened.
