Mr. Popo I remember some of the old mgs games to have concept art, and oddworld games as well, and I'm pretty there were more games with drawings n shit in the booklet..
Christian Brown NEVER PLAY DARKSOULS 2 unless you bored with bloodborne dark souls 3 and dark souls 1 and i have never played demon souls but I heard it is good
Can you hear it guys.? Xboners are crying :-/ But heeey !! Dont worry you got exclusives too . For example call of halo future jetpack simulator warfare 28262662 and forza horizon sun rain car yearly dlc shitty 2.5 . Enjoy your games guys :-D hahahahahahahahha Ps4 Masterrace . Even pc Gamers are crying ...... Hahahahahha .
Nah, it's cool man. Dark Souls-...Oops, sorry. "BloodBorne." Looks totally different, and awesome! I'm sure this one exclusive, and totally unique game, will totally change the gaming industry as we know it!
Just got my copy of the game. I'm mighty impressed over how they preserved the old Dark Souls feeling, and at the same time created a hole new experience.
I agree on the fact that collectors editions have gotten out of hand with all the statues and stuff but this collectors edition is a little lacking... A full size retail art book, like the one that came with "Last of us" would have enticed me to upgrade. I still like music CD's so if I ever need to re upload the music I could...
Daniel Kiselev If you intend to keep the game then it's worth it for sure. I got my copy for $69 (that's the cheapest I could find for the standard edition), this edition is $114 (this is in Australia though)
COREY M I like steel cases too but I find I don't look back on artbooks once they are put back in the book case. I guess we are all different :) I do appreciate the art though.
So you're telling me that I could pay twenty dollars extra (on a game that's already pretty fucking expensive, all things considered) just to get a steel case (which is, admittedly, nice) and an artbook that I'll look through once when I'm on the shitter? Bull fucking shit that that's "how it should be done." Maybe if I had loads of money pouring out of my orifices, sure. But no, this is definitely /not/ how they should be done, because what they've packaged in there is worth $10, tops.
Thorson Wong How is it expensive? It's like what $60 typical triple a game price, and thats the same price they have been for a decade, so vs what you would have payed back then this is pretty cheap because despite inflation games have remained the same price, I see no quarrel in paying an extra $20 if you have the money to spend or are interested in the lore or collectible stuff.
***** ...Which I can download off of RU-vid in all of five minutes. Wee~ No, a collector's edition should come with things that only /you/ (and anyone who bought said collector's edition) have access to, and while the artbook is technically the right thing to have if you're trying to fit into that category, it's such a small, meager thing. NillocsKeep $59.99 for a title is absurdly overpriced, if you as me. I know it's the standard for most triple A console releases, but it's just... wrong. $49.99 should be how most games are priced (and some triple A titles - most of which, I might add, are amazing games - are starting to make that change, so good on them) with 79.99 - 129.99 being the collector's edition's price, unless you're going all out, a la CoD's balls to the walls completely useless junk editions. $79.99 for a Steelbook (and let's be honest, that's all you're /really/ getting, because the OST will be on RU-vid by now and the artbook is a ~50 page thing that will probably have scans on the interwebs by the end of the week, if people care) isn't worth it at all, and it definitely isn't how it should be done. Not unless you're some rich twat with too much money to spend.
I couldn't have said it better myself man, wish we got the nightmare edition that would've been worth it but this "collectors edition" is not worth it just get the standard edition and save the $20.00 for dlc.
I just paid $95 for it (that includes shipping from Amazon and tax) and I have NO regrets. Who cares about what it's actually worth? It matters what the worth is to YOU.
***** Lmao, nobody gives a shit about Halo anymore. It has always sucked and at this point, they can't keep beating that dead horse much longer before it starts to rot.
343 Halo games are hilariously bad. It'll be dog shit just like Halo 4, but it'll have slightly better graphics. I own an X1 and a ps4 and I don't even know if I'll buy Halo 5. This game shits all over everything thus far.
Guys I need some help. When I first played Dark Souls I didn't really enjoy it. The difficulty frustrated me and I had trouble getting into it. In the end I ended up trading it in. Now with all this Bloodborne stuff, it's been making me want to try Dark Souls again. Should I give it another go?
Ya I'm not sure yet. I still remember the part that kept messing me up the first time. I battled all the way to the Taurus demon or something just to get rekt
Don't bother, it's just not your kind of game. The enjoyment of the game revolves around its difficulty, and if that is the quality that you didn't like about the other Souls games, then the games are just too difficult for you.
Best collector's edition I ever got was for The Last Story. It came with a softcover art book, and a physical CD soundtrack, plus the game packaged in embossed clamshell box shaped like a hardcover book. You know how much it cost? The regular retail price of $50.
I think the creepiest characters so far are Ladies of the Woods from the Witcher 3. Probably also because they are not after you, like the monstrosities from fromsoftware games.
The Demon's Souls collector had that very thick strategy guide and they came in a (thick, again) cardboard box. And it was a free package if you pre-ordered the game. Dude. Does times r g0ne.
I hate it when they only give you the steelbook and not the normal retail version... I now it cost much less and it's better for mother nature but when you make a collectors edition´why not making it complete...
Collector's Edition could have been better. Soul Calibur 4 I think was the best. It had a t-shirt, though XL it's good as pyjamas, an artbook, DLC code, the game and a poster all in a tin, which you can stack your knick knacks in.
Does the one from Amazon.co.uk include Norwegian on-screen text and subtitles? (E.g. is there a language selection in the menu or will the game be in Norwegian if you set the system language to Norsk)?
So i'm kinda disappointed. I am going to pick up this game, but idk if i want the collector's edition. I don't like the slip case not being sturdy, guessing its cardboard. I would have really liked it if the slip case was also made of metal, similar to the dark souls collector's edition. Of course, that was a tin and it opened up and had the game case inside, but this as a metal slip case would have really been nice. I'm also disappointed that there isn't a sleeve going around the entire thing, similar to the metroid prime trilogy collector's edition. would have been really nice to have that as it could overlay some art on top the slip case, completing an image and would provide protection for the slip case since its not metal.
The European steelbook makes much better use of the effects you can create with this kind of case. Weird that they chose this bland design for the American market
So he likes it for the steelbook and a booklet? Doesn't matter what game it is, that is not worth buying a collectors edition for -_- . A collectors edition needs something worth it, like a mini statue or figurine.
The ps4 finally gets a good exclusive. Still not willing to spend $550 for 1 game lol. It will eventually come to pc one day if sony makes the wise decision to do so.
That definitely wouldn't be a wise decision from Sony's part seeing as how they're all about console gaming. I mean it'd be great if it came out on PC, but not very beneficial to Sony.
Ps4 is $400 m8. Also the last of us remastered is good and so is infamous. If I were you though I would just wait for a ps4 price drop and get all the games at once.
