I find a lot of soulslike games Are hard, but especially If you treat the dodge button as a panic button, they have interesting combat because a lot of the time your actually just walking and waiting for an opening and due to how precise most of the hit boxes are, sometimes slowly moving to the left or right a quater of an inch is all it takes for a sword or spear or bullet to miss you I will say i didn't get into them till i played Lies of P because part of what makes souls souls is the fear factor these beasts you can't imagine defeating, so the setting scared me less, but after that i found the others only had some bits that were marginally hard (Like the Spider boss in bloodborne geezus) but they all have little gimicks that make them different and as soon as you figure those out its pretty much the same (I actually thought bloodborne was a pure dodge game till the dark forest, i didn't realize the gun was a parry mechanic till i was having trouble with those snake men O.o)
The difference between the research hall and lady Maria at 2:16 ludicrously funny to me. Just “plip plop Salish splash” then “HEAVENLY TRANSCENDING MUSIC” is so funny 😂
@omaewarick9356 Kind of. Either he or Blood-starved Beast are mandatory, with the other being optional. Cleric fight is shown while only Old Yharnam as an area is shown, but you can assume both being done I guess, making at least one optional boss present.
@@edwardnygma8533 Also Ebrietas is optional, darkbeastpaarl, Martyr Logarius, Witches of Hemwick, Amygdala. Optional means you can beat the game without having to kill any of them, you would only need to kill bloodstarved beast for the chalice dungeons, making them optional too.

considering getting into bloodborne bc of its themes/design [despite not being good at soulslike games], this video popped up in my recommended is this a sign to get it
