Nightmare Mode is basically Julius mode from Sorrow games.

I came here because I'm stuck on the stage 4 boss on nightmare mode. Definitely much harder than the first time.

I didn’t even know her final attack was even an attack. Since you can’t die from it, just take damage, I kind of assumed it was just a winning cutscene

@@door9520Outside of the pirate ship and final boss, dodging a boss DM gives you an extra life.

the sad part in that castlevania is, when julius get the final blow he say "yurushite" which means "forgive me"

Admittedly, out of all the bosses, Valac is the one that disturbs me the most. My worst nightmares involve being eaten alive (hell, I once had phantom sensation of a T-Rex chomping into my chest), and you may have noticed, that dragon has a *lot* of teeth. 😨😭

Huh so I wonder if Zangetsu will be a secret boss in the upcoming "Luminous Avenger iX" which looks to be a spin off of Azure Striker Gunvolt starring Copen as the main protagonist.

Who thinks in the third gunvolt game zangetsu gets to become a secret boss? Using his signature katana and his sub weapons. Perhaps depending on who you play as,he’ll have dialogue making mentions to miriam,alfred and gebel. Shovel knight made HIS cameo in the second game,why not zangetsu since the secret ending shows him waking up at building within view of the sumeragi building. And maybe since inti creates is making the ZX collection. Zero could maybe be a secret boss. At least a sort of near perfect copy of him. Armed with his Z-Sabre and Buster,it’s a battle against the red hero since 21XX - 22XX.

Jason Adjiwanou for zangetsu’s boss strategy,he attacks with his sword and jumps around using his ultimate mode abilities gained only by killing Miriam,Alfred and Gebel,to make more reference to his world of origin,he uses his ball’n’chain as an anti aerial Attack means dodging his attacks a hassle when he has attacks that would make dodging difficult,he’d also use the charm side weapon just to keep the players on their toes and lastly he’ll use his demon’s Essence to increase his Damage,but like his world of origin,it’s effect is only temporary,when you defeat zangetsu he simply scoffs for you hostility despite it was mostly his as he’ll simply leave never to be seen again,for the zero fight,he’d be similar to zero of the X series,attacking with his buster two times before attacking with his Z-Sabre,when he dashes he’ll strike the ground to either make an area of effect attack or to quickly heal himself,to make matters difficult,he’d also use the sub-weapons he used in his megaman ZX series,making him a jack of all trades in terms of combat,when he is half health he’ll utilise the elemental chips for different effect,to make it more nightmarish,he’ll Attack in a similar fashion to the wily capsule 7,ice freezes the player in place rendering them to struggle to free themselves,thunder alters their controls making them have to swap their movements until the electricity wears off,fire stubs and burns the player causing them to lose health quickly if they don’t act fast and lastly his charged shot and slash which will make dodging his attacks difficult when you are bombarded by the elements,when you defeat zero he’ll make the comment of your strength and leave with a cyber elf flying off possibly being the elf version of zero much like how the real X was a cyber elf after his body was destroyed by elpizo.

Don’t forget the other waifu in the game: Bloodless. After all, how many women can pull of literally bloody clothes? Plus, she has the Ojou-Sama Laugh, and who doesn’t appreciate the reference to Elizabeth “the Blood Countess” Bathory?

Bloodless in is ROTN. She was shown off in a E3 trailer last year I think.

So are Valefor, Valac and Zangetsu. Gebel is (expectedly) also a boss, and (less expectedly) so is Alfred.

I know right! All of the bosses have really cool designs to them. It is so cool and thrilling watching.

I bought Gal Gunvolt Burst and was crazy enough it out,I might tempted to try this out next to see how I fare with this game.(and then more action platformers next.)

Nah, the time period this takes place in is a time the Belmonts couldn't use Vampire Killer yet.

Save your weapons points for the second phase freeze with Alfred, switch and smash with the ax should only have to do it twice.

There is another ending where Zangetsu leaves the other 3 heroes behind and beats Gremory (and the entire game) alone. Then the other 3 appear at the last moment to protect him from Gremory's final attack. After that they fall to the ground and appear dead, but since there is no blood and they appear in part 2, maybe they were just knocked out. Or maybe it is just a retcon.

Desperation attacks aren’t new, Castlevania Rondo of Blood had them all the way back in 1993

for me, about a day at least for this game. its all about memorizing everything and getting the timing right.
