There's an interview video he made in a resturant/cafe where he talks about the real dream game he wants to make and how it's extremely risky because it's a type of game most people won't give a damn about. That's what he's saying. I don't think it will have anything to do with Castlevania or even just the typical 2D Igavania games he makes. In regards to Bloodstained the game has sold at least 2 million by now if I remember right and 505 have said they're happy to to fund another but it might just be talk only. I'll be honest I have been wanting a 3D type of game like LOI and COD for the longest time from him, even more so than a 2D Igavania style game. However, I don't think it'd be that kind of game either. He emphasizes just how niche what he wants to make really is. A collab with Konami is fairy tale talk I'm sorry. That goes for any game not just Castlevania. I think both parties don't give a damn about the Aria of Sorrow prequel anymore. Bloodstained was good bit I don't mind if they don't make another game with the IP it was conclusive enough for me and even though they'd made so many other modes and features on it as promised a lot of that stuff is overkill if you ask me and features that I didn't bother with.
Is there a possibility IGA will step up and make Bloodstained 2 3D?! That would be pretty wild, but I just don't think Artplay can do it. As I said in this video, they really struggled with BS and I think Kickstarter, while good to show that there is still interest in these kinds of games, wouldn't work well for the creation of a sequel. I agree that the Konami collab discussion is 100% fanboy delusion.

So Bloodstained's sequel is in development currently not sure to what degree though. Most likely still early stage development as most of the team is still working to finish Ritual of the Night. We know this from that one leak back in like mid 2021 where it was revealed that a sequel was in the earliest stages of development.
A few people in the Bloodstained discord explained this to me. Though that was a leak, it was also 3 years ago. I'm not saying it got canned...but until I see a trailer or announcement officially, I guess we'll just wait and see.

@@Dongled no its not, Mike. Bloodstained 2 has been confirmed by 505 Games and IGA has said they are wrapping up the final content first for Bloodstained.
