One of the most under rated fighting games of all time. I actually managed to pull a few friends away from Tekken after making them play this game. To bad the sequals never lived up to the brand
Yea. An absolute gem of a fighter, very very underrated. Imho, THE coolest fighter to ever hit the market. 2 was franchise peak. 3 was fine. It went downhill after that. And then the IP/franchise got taken to the grave unjustly cuz of Konami...
By far one of the best fighting games from the PSX era. I still love it. Bakuryu was my main and I can still kill enemies with one giant combo from Uriko if timed right. Good times, fucking good times ~
This is one the best ps1 beat-em-up games ever! If paying for the first time, this intro alone gets you pumped and ready to destroy! (then you have to learn how to play the game!) The music is good, the character movements were fluid, the animation (all of them;cgi, still pictures and character movement) was great too! This and Bloody Roar 3 were bloody excellent! (btw Long and Shina were my favorites!)
LOL i remember this.Everytime at the end of the soundtrack (part where it gets all hype up,Jenny multiple kick then long multiple punch) i kicked then punched the air like crazy cause the music was ROCKIN' MY HEAD and it was so sync with the attack.
wat im waiting for is a bloody roar anime i mean its got a pretty solid story background and really awesome characters but then there are other animes that started off as games and turned out to be a bad idea if you know any name em
@Snyperwolf91 Hudson sitched from making good games to making quickcash games. Fighting games are the easiest ones to produce (though hardest to refine) and thus the BR series was the first one to succumb to this new policy.
I have to agree with you on almost anything, Except I think Stun was made more functional, but other characters went way ahead of him in improvements save for Gado... I haven't touched any new BR games since BR3. A shame considering how much potential the series had.
@S0ryiu i think the first one was great because its fast-paced and the music was much more Metal / hard rock. bloody roar extreme/primal fury is okay but it feels so slow somehow. =/ i hope konami put a new BR game which is more fast-paced and got more rock / metal / hardrock music , because the franchise lost the touch of something brutal and violent artstyle. i wanna see more bloody ,brutal gameplay which u would say : this is a real BEAST of a game!! a comeback like this would be awesome !!
I actually saw a japanese copy of this game at a local game store, it was 30 bucks, I started to buy it, but I wanted an arcade system (Neo Geo gold) for my game room! :D
@Snyperwolf91 It was officially announced on the Hudson Twitter yesterday. You can find more awesome info. by just typing Bloody Roar Reboot into google. So hyped right now.
sure, I'll rerecord it and post the link on sidepanel. Though, for some reason, the I think I now only have the intro version with the battling sound effects included :(
@Ronldbx6 i saw the news . =D im so hyped too for the reboot but i hope they put finally some really good metal / rock music to it because this is the style how bloody roar plays . Hudson made on many games really awesome rock tunes which fits perfectly to the game like LORDS OF THUNDER , GINKA FUKEI DENSETSU SAPHIRE, GATES OF THUNDER and many more . just hear the tunes on youtube cause this game soundtracks are masterpieces of the whole video game history . =)
I Own the OST for BR3, it's not included. At least not in my copy. The BR3 OST also lacks the Arcade Music for BR2 as well, which is why the fanmade rips are usualy more complete.
thery need to recreate this one with better graphics, online play, dlc, charaters, and the exact same music, storyline etc i love this game.... i wish i could find it, i think its on playstation, store psone classics.
I play tekken also this. The only reason i like bloody roar 2 is. Gado f*cked me up harder than true ogre. And after i beat gado. There is shenlong waiting his turn to f*cked me up
