you get the ancestral spirit horn from lighting the pillars and fighting the boss in ancestral forest, not siofra river. you get a spirit summon from fighting the boss in siofra river
@@ThatSoulsGirl haha no worries, you basically fight the same boss twice, except i think the ancestor forest one is a little bit tougher than the siofra one.
DO NOT KILL YURA FINGER HUNTER. (Npc who drops Nagakiba) His quest line leads to the Eleonora's Poleblade. It is another dex/arc scaling weapon. If you're going to kill him wait until you finish the questline.
You can kill him and you still get it, I killed him after killing the dragon he tells you about and then the lady he was talking about invaded me later then I killed her and got it
@@tateparker8112 nah, if you murder him the first time you meet he will drop his sword, then he will actually spawn to talk with you again after you've reached "the mountain tops of the giants", this time he spawns without his sword so if you try and murder him again it's super easy AND he drops his armor this time. The only armors in the game you can lock yourself out of is the raging wolf set, Blaidd the wolf's set, and the Ram themed armor set, it's name escapes me in the moment.
This is the first time I play a game like this and I’m really trying to understand the attributes, and how to allocate the points; specifically strength to use two katanas. How do I know how much is sufficient for this build? Which attribute besides dex would you prioritize?
If running samurai go for Dexterity, vigor and Strength....eventually go for arcane if you want dragon stuff....the stats on weapons that have grades and depending on what weapon it is...might need points in those attributes like dexterity for Uchigatana or strengh for greatswords
@@TheSixStringGuy I appreciate your reply. I started off with vagabond because I read that’s the best class for starters. I started my build toward strength because I was confused about the scaling and how the attributes correlate with the weapons. But I want to respec and build more toward dex and this class looks intriguing. I just want to allocate the points accordingly. I have the uchigatana and the Moonveil and want to build a dual wielding class with those
Basically every weapon will have stat requirements but you don’t need to spend points to dual wield your character can hold any two weapons as long as they require the weapons respective stats. And basically you want to prioritize damage with builds so you want to put the most points into the two stats that will do that, in this case it’s arcane and dex. Then you obviously need health and endurance (which also helps to negate damage). And usually you can also put a bit of points on a fifth stat.
Forgot to explain a bit further with Bloodflame blade incantation. Basically, you can use Bloody Slash AND bloodflame blade incantation on the same weapon, but when you're choosing the affinity for Bloody Slash you have to select standard and not blood. This will reduce the blood loss buildup but you'll have the benefits of the incantation. So it depends how you want to play!
@@miguelprince5333 You get it by killing an NPC, you'll see him in the forbidden lands it's the area you go to after you defeat the main boss in Leyndell. You can't miss him he'll be on your way there.
theres actually a way to make this even better instead of blood slash use seppuku on both katanas set them to either occult scaling or blood if im correct and you can use the seppuku twice for Insane bleed build up as its on both weapons
also like to add depending on where you are ingame you can get a talisman that increases your damage by 20% when a foe is inflicted with bleed its found in leyndel catercombs or whatever its called
Later on in the moghwyn mousoleum area after doing the quest for white-mask Varré in the swamp area you can get invaded, and if you kill him twice you get his white mask that also increases damage by around 10% more. So currently with the charm and mask my sword is around 200 damage, and after using seppuku it goes to 440 something.
Honestly surprised you didn't include Hero in your Best Classes. Sure, their starting equipment might be useless, but they have the perfect dump stats for this build, leaving you with extra points to use.
Thank you!! I needed the explanation on the weapons affinity. I was wondering why I couldn’t use some of the greases on my katanas. I’m totally new to games like this, but I was on the right track to get a build like yours.
Just found your channel and MERCI BEAUCOUP I'm loving katanas in this game and I totally missed the nagakiba. Dual-wielding it now with the Uchigatana and living my best life. Question though, what armour is that you're using? Again, keep up the super helpful content! ❤️
Don't kill Yura. He also helps you with Agheel, the Invader she talks about with Reduvia the blood dagger will also be something Yura helps you with AND his questlines rewards a TWINBLADE with DEX/ARC scaling for a bleed build.. I get that you just want to hurry up and get that sword but trust me, killing NPCs super early is almost never a good idea. You lock yourself out of an entire story, you usually get the gear you want anyway plus some more cool shit and lore. Just use Reduvia and Uchigatana for now. The invader drops a blood dagger. It's pretty awesome. There are also other weapons that proc with arc for bleed that you don't have to murder a dope NPC for at the start of the game.
listen leave us murder hobos alone! But yeah you're right, if people want the twin blade they could do his quest, I just wanted to show the quickest way to get it.
@@ThatSoulsGirl Thanks for the reply! I’m just dumb and had apparently already talked to him. i found him on the bridge for the invasion and got the weapon!
yes, but you won't be able to use bloodflame blade or bloodyslash. But the build stats will work perfectly. Just put more into mind as the Rivers of Blood's AoW costs more FP.
Definitely a cool build, but it seems like if you're using Bloodflame you gotta revamp the whole thing, no? Bleed only scales with arcane if your weapon scales with arcane. Doesn't matter if it's D or S, just has to have a letter beside it. But in the case of the katanas or any other weapon where you have to apply an infusion like Blood or Occult to give it arcane scaling, you'll no longer be able to apply Bloodflame due to the infusion. Seems like Bloodflame's only use is to top off the bleed damage on pure dex builds that use bleed weapons, as any extra points in arcane are doing nothing for your damage. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I hope I am 'cause it kinda sabotages my whole build plan. In any case, great guide.
You're absolutely right! You have to essentially choose if you want less blood build up, but a buff that makes it so the enemies' bar won't go down, or more blood build up but no buff. you can use Bloody Slash in both cases.
Right - was just clarifying that it changes your stat allocation too, you gotta remove all your points from arcane and dump them somewhere else. Thanks for verifying!
@@ThatSoulsGirl So just for clarification, is the points in Arcane necessary? As what I’m reading, arcane only helps give faster blood loss and doesn’t give me additional damage. But if I choose to not level up arcane, I will have slower blood build up but I’d be able to keep a buff via Bloodflame? I have the Bloody Nagakiba and Bloody Uchi already. So should i be fine not adding points to arcane as long as I’m okay not increasing blood loss speed?
I started as a vagabond class..with a bloody slash infused in my straight sword...and if I wanna respec my character, where should I invest my stats points? I confused whether to level up STR or DEX for my straight sword 😅
What sword are you using? Check the wiki and see the letter rating once you level it up. If it’s higher in dex then do dex, if it’s higher in strength then do strength. And you can use arcane as you secondary damage stat if you’re using blood affinity
I'm doing samurai bleed build! How do you keep the enemy bleeding after you stop hitting them? Is it infinity or oils you weren't that clear!! I got bless dew telisman & is the other called Ansestrail spirit horn
Bloody slash and other bloody ashes do no add blood buildup only affinities does right? I wish we could see the damage output on different ashes. I've been playing 180 hours with blood unsheathe on nagakiba and a poison uchi its soo satisfying!
in my opinion, I like blood slash better because yes you loose blood build up damage but you get insane damage with bloody slash + it staggers most enemies.
I explained how you can use it on a weapon doesn't have blood affinity, which you loose some blood loss buildup, but you'll gain the incant which prevents blood loss from decreasing when you're not hitting enemies. So I said that it really depends on how you want to play, have higher blood loos or have it not decrease. It's just a second option if you will.
@@ThatSoulsGirl yeah since it has 60 blood loss already, with Bloodhound step you can put it on keen which is still good for this build. And you can put Blood blade on it. Bloodhound step is also actually faster than the normal dodge so what you can also do is wear full armour for the defence even though it lowers your speed and still have an incredibly fast dodge that also gets invisibility frames.
Fighting the commander was a BBBBBBBtch. i just used my moonviel kata to range atk him with 7 potions and then used bow head shots for the rest and horse ride for the minions first before anything
Just got both weapons, meet all requirements, but when I hit, only main hand hits, looks like power stance/dual wield is off, anyone know know why it might be the case?
You can still get elenora’s Poleblade even if you kill him. All you need is to absolve your sins and head for the second church of Marika and she will invade.
A cheese to defeat the blood slash knight is climb up the ladder on the side tower, jump down to the lower platform in there to break the ai, then attack him while he is climbing up and down repeatedly.
I killed everyone else, then used a two hand and a towershield with Shield Bash to knock him back anytime he got close then unleashed a combo and shield bashed again when he blocked.
when you use blood affinity on your blades, it adds arcane damage scaling, so you'll do bonus damage from both dex and arcane that's why it ends up doing so much.
It's really sick, however there's a bug with it. Mine is +10 but the damage is laughable compared to my other weapons so I hope they fix it so I can make a build around it soon!
about the stats..... meh could use more vigor but overall ok but the choice of talismans is rather awful for example shard of alexander and millicent's prosthesis (which also gives u 5 extra dex if i remember) theres also a head piece and a talisman that boosts your damage when you bleed an enemy... all found later in the game but u can access the headpiece early but you have to kill an NPC invader
It's from a vendor in limgrave by a bridge. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3v4WZYz9Wf0.html&ab_channel=Vslayer I show the location in this video, go around 10:35
if Yura isn't in limgrave and you're pretty far into the story you'll find him in the mountaintops of giants. Not sure if you can get that blade if you didn't get it off him by doing his quests or killing him in the beginning.
If you kill Yura this early, do you still get his armor set, or just the katana? Also, what armor are you wearing? That mask looks really cool, so does the rest of the armor.
You need a scared seal to use incantations, since it's not a sorcery you can't use it with your staff. You can get the finger seal the twin maiden husks sell, and there's 10 I think you can find in the game as well, they all have different effects.
Can we use this till late game? I'm completely stucked after astel, Defeated him with my magic strength build, but now I feel like i need to go for bleed build, will this bring me to at least near to late game?
Ronin set from the NPC Yura. You can get it in the forbidden lands, I made a video detailing everything and how to get there ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3v4WZYz9Wf0.html&ab_channel=Vslayer

You could yeah! You just can’t use bloody slash. And for some reason it’s not scaling with arcane as it should I got it to +10 and it wasn’t even over 200 damage. Kind of weird.
Iron Kasa/Ronin armor you can get it from an NPC in the forbidden lands. I made a video to make it easier to find ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3v4WZYz9Wf0.html&ab_channel=Vslayer
Go to the church of absolution and try to absolve for your sins this should bring him back, if not, then he should be in the mountaintops of giants where I show it in the video.
