MEOW’s Canine Division had taken a dog from Three Little Pitties Rescue in the Houston area, and when their coordinator told Kelly they had lots of cats/kittens as well, she connected us.
She was already arranging a trip to the Pacific Northwest for arrival on November 7, so we tagged on and agreed to take 16 cats from them. They came from several organizations in that area, and Whitney from Three Little Pitties coordinated the effort.
The drivers left Houston at 9pm on Tuesday, November 5 and drove straight through, alternating sleeping schedules and stopping regularly for dog walking and for cleaning up lots of poo and pee. When they stopped here, they unloaded 16 great cats and kittens, some of whom have already been adopted, and other who will be altered this week and put on the adoption floor after their recovery.
