I've only been crocheting bout 2months, have been watching you on you tube, I have finally through this video managed to do straight edges, your voice makes it easy to listen to and not hurry myself into making mistakes. Thank you sooooo much xx

Very pretty. I bet you could do the same by just using the front loop in a HDC to build your project a little faster. I just don't like SC unless I am using super bulky yarn.

This is lovely for pot pads and dishcloths its added to my looonnng to do list lol. Would you just add a double crochet border around for a wash or dishcloth?

Could you direct me to or make a tutorial that shows how to change from one stitch to another in the same project. For instance one row double crochet then next row granny stitch? I can’t figure out how to keep the stitch count the same from row to row. Thank you, love your tutorials.

I love the look of this! But can you clarify: When you start a row, are you pulling up your loop in the middle of the stitch, or are you pulling it out from under both loops? It’s at about 4:30 into the video. I get it that you insert your hook under both loops of the V, but I’m not sure where you’re pulling it out from. In the next row, there is a glitch in the video, it skips that exact part, so I can’t double check there.

No chains at the end of the row, they aren't necessary in a SC

P.S.: I really hate that the US and the UK have different terms! In the day and age of the internet, it's a small world, and having the same terminology would be so much easier! *steps off the soap box*

I know what you mean, ChristinaFromFlint. 😁 I think you meant it nicely and that’s how I took it. I try to think of it as a fun game and a mental challenge. I really appreciate all the thoughtful crocheters from the UK that remember to repeat the differences often during their tutorials.
