I have the same sets from snap on. The big snap on set just includes drill bits. Like the Cornwall tools the one thing with the seal remover installer. The one pet pev is when they are not labeled. Not for me but I hate having to show people how to use the tools. The last shop I worked at. It drove me nuts because i had more tools then the owners and everyone in the shop. I sucked going from sharing a shop to working for someone that really had bad business ethics. But I am working on building my own business and house. I always loved it where my grandfather had his shop out side his back door. My dream
I’ve had the Snap On tap and die set for years. It’s high carbon steel, which is inferior to high speed steel, but take your time and it’ll do just fine. And can’t beat that warranty.
I’ve been putting off getting the snap on tap and die for quite awhile now lol definitely need to pick that up. You know I was about to ask after watching this video if anyone ended up winning that scanner and then you said it lol, I finally broke down last week and got a good deal on the Matco Maximus 3.0 and so far am absolutely loving it, the user friendly aspect of it compared to a snap on, in my opinion, makes it really enjoyable to use.
Why does every civic build on RU-vid require a turbo, I've owned a db8 since 05. Only mod is a type r intake cam. Never felt like I need more horsepower for a street car. I've hit 140 In it a twice, it's currently in a state of disrepair. Sure I have a lift and all the tools to put it back together but I'm to busy working on paying jobs. I put a new wheel bearing in a pilot this weekend, (press in) it went in about as good as you can expect one to go, then I also did a wheel bearing in a impala but it was a bolt in so a cakewalk basically. Keep putting out the content JR.
I notice u have the rounded head sockets I'm not sure if u can get kincrome there but here in Australia kincrome makes a set thay call lok-on sockets and thay say can remove up to 85% rounded nuts n bolts. As I see ur a socket guy it would be a good addition to ur oh shit draw..
Nice haul. I have one of those cheap tap and die sets then have been adding sizes I don’t have or use often from better companies. Never heard anyone mention pbt before. I’m looking at one of their brake bleeders that looks identical to the blue point one some guys at work have
Mac and Matco warranty those left-handed drill bits win they get doll Snap-on doesn't and finding a 12 point socket for those dies are a pain in the butt too but I done the same thing my first go-round
I've got 3 sets of the speed sockets so I can have almost every size same thing with the left handed drill bits like you said you hate to have to use these tools but you are damn glad you have it if you need it
One tool you might want to look into for the o s*** drawer would be the Snap-on Die socket. I picked one up for $30 ish and that socket is great when re- threading a bolt or threading round stock. Part number DDS1. I would also like to see more of the civic because I find it very interesting!
Lol...I have one of those drawers. Mine is named "You're having a bad day!" As a diy I hate dealing with broken fasteners. I have tap and dies, turbo sockets, twist extracters, etc...I just lack the patience to deal with them...lol
I'm ok with blow mold cases but only on tool that need them and need to stay together. But try to ditch them whenever possible when putting tool in the tool box take up too much space.
Nice tool haul . Talking about losing tools . I tend to lose M6 and M8 tap´s and thread pitch gauges . About the video content , I look at whatever you upload . Owning a shop and tending to it is your priority .
The seal puller/installer sucks. I have one and spend more time waiting for warranty parts then time get to use it. The stupid pieces keep breaking. It's junk brother!
