Your interactive cards are the most awesome thing ever! Every single time they blow me away I love them so much. This one is so adorable with the candles being blown out. Thank you so much for sharing I love them all.
I LOVE Interactives!!! For good or ill, though, they make me think. And this one has me thinking as to how I could get the Critter to "blow out the candles" on the UPTURN of his head. (The current action sorta seems counter-intuitive. Has anyone else "played with" this idea?) Hope everyone is staying safe. -- KR
When you blow out candles, you are usually higher than the candles, so your head goes down. I am working on making the critter either taller or moved up on the card so that when the head comes down, it is blowing over the candles.
Your cards are so much fun! I am working on making this one. I noticed that the card measures differently on your grid than the measurements in your comments below the video. Will that make a difference? Thanks!
Laura. Very cute card, enjoyed watching the process. Happy you mentioned your daughter is turning 12. Thankfully, I already have the interactive dies (used in this case) I'll definitely try a go at a similar card like this for a friend's daughter who is turning 12 this weekend. Just in time. Thanks so much. So glad I saw this video. Question. What is the head of the kangaroo adhered to? Is is foam tape and added to the top of the brad?
Laura glued the layered "doughnut" (that she created by gluing 4 of those die cut pieces together) around the brad head on the back panel. Then she glued the kangaroo's head just to the doughnut. That way, the head is supported while the mechanism can move freely, anchored by the brad at the one end. That's how this particular die set works. Hope this helps! :)
Thank you so much for answering, Andrea! That's exactly correct. You can see me stacking those donut pieces (around minute 6). You could also use a foam dot and punch a hole in the middle of it.
