Use the same setup, but instead of a heavy fast.Make it a heavy mod fast. I have found that little bit of slower tip helps with keeping the fish pinned, especially from the kayak.

I actually did an experiment last year in my yak....i was missing alot of frog bites...65 lb. Braid.....i shortened up my casts & used 25 lb. Mono...my hook up ratio went up...😂 i 4:18 fish frogs around alot of wood cover, and braid seems to get caught more often in the wood....i think i was pulling the frog away too fast with the braid, as i have a hard time waiting after the blowup....perhaps the slight stretch in heavy mono was just enough of a delay with my no patience hooksets

That frog set-up consists of heavy action rod & braid? Maybe, possibly, it's too much for the conditions. I didn't see vegetation on the surface or dangling from fish. I'd consider an 7'2" MH rod. You can still apply braid. However, the combination of Hvy action plus braid w/no vegetation. In my opinion, may have been the difference!...✊🏾

Take some pliers and bend those hooks out from the frogs body a little.the hooks tend to sit curved in right against the frog and when they bite and compress the frog not as much hook can get them as opposed to bending it out some and exposing more hook…i do it to all mine and hookups improved 75% better
