Calling rabbits and blowgunning them with my Slock Master blowgun was an epic time. Down the barrel kill shots. Watch a tiny dart drop em in their tracks. Get yours at www.SlockMaster.com . Best Christmas gift known to man. Ha!!
I've done that, it works great too! I used a beagle to bring them in close for a shot. The only drawback was the dog didn't know when I shot. It was waiting for the sound of a shotgun going off to come back to me. I always had to call the dog back.
Ya Tim should represent saunders he needs a folding falcon or if Barnett had a flatband setup that'd be sweet since they've been a great company to me.
You can respect an animal and also hunt it, as long as you aren't just doing it for sport. Human hunters have had respect for their prey since the days of hunting mammoths.
I can remember shooting at a few rabbits and when I cleaned them out there wasn't one bb to be found. I think that they either died of fright or they died laughing.
When I've rabbit hunted here in Virginia. We would walk brush all day and be lucky if we saw 2 rabbits. I would starve to death trying to hunt with that thing.
I put a perfect shot on the back of the head to a cottontail. Not a step. Just laid down with a tiny squeak as it's last breath escaped. It was a fantastic moment of satisfaction. Been many years since hunting. But those well earned skills allowed me to still do the job cleanly.
Excelente, beautiful sport, Tim , I lost a lot of weight…. Yes getting my dards back, and iam getting really good at it, thanks to you amigo 👌👌👌👌keep it going…. Thanks
Liberal here. I also own guns and hunt. Try going out into the world and meeting people who don't necessarily think like you. You may be surprised to learn that not everything on Fox and Breitbart is true.
You have changed my view on hunting. I used to believe that it was inhumane and disgraceful sport but after watching your videos and some of the explanations on why you're hurting certain species I have come to the realization that hunters care and respect wild life more than most people do. Keep those amazing videos coming and I certainly hope to win a chance to hunt among side with you even though I have never done it
Djoser Leal hunters are the only true conservationists. Taxes on gear and licenses go toward conservation efforts such as reintroducing animals to places where they once roamed.
I think something people often don't realise is that hunters have an incredible amount of empathy for animals, I'd say more than those who don't hunt in many cases. Hunters learn so much about what animals are thinking and how they live their lives, they have to have empathy to be effective in predicting animal behaviours, as well as the fact that hunters are usually very concerned about making sure that their quarry expire in as quick and humane a fashion as possible
@@Dunmerdog for reals. Parouse the comment section on hunting vids of people taking ridiculously long kill shots. It’s nothing but other hunters talkin down on the video creator for taking unethically long distance kill shots.
As a hunter, thank you for being open minded. So many people are not and just hate hunters because they don’t understand why we do it. The feeling of being self-sufficient and harvesting your own meat is incredibly rewarding.
Bought a slockmaster last week from Germany delivered to uk,so impressed with it got another one coming for my 35 year old son xmas present so we can slock rabbits and squirrels at his place, great piece of kit.
@@beebob1279 What we call "Red Squirrels" don't even weigh a pound. Our larger species of Grey and Fox squirrels can reach 3 pounds. Reds and the one he called Jumbo look little more than a baby Fox or Grey Squirrel. Far from jumbo.
@@demoman5707 We have the red squirrel (tiny like the video), and the Grey (also sometimes black but basically the same thing). I'm not south enough for the Fox squirrels.
They can be DEADLY accurate with practice!! I bought the cold steel big bore “pro” model I think it was and was immediately impressed with the power and accuracy I was capable of after only a few practice shots. And of course it did nothing but improve in both areas the more I shot it. Killed loads of squirrels, more than few rabbits, a few doves, and even got a raccoon one night. The broad heads it came with where basically hunting sharp out of the box but a couple mins on a honing atone and they where shaving sharp, more than sharp enough to quickly and humanely dispatch small game. Even the “mini broad heads” it came with after sharpening where capable of taking squirrels and rabbits. I still love hunting with it, haven’t in a while but I will soon after watching Tim’s videos.
Hes the best he gets it sometimes i see these rednecks just killin they think its just so funny... tw aint like that hes a true hunter respectful and very skilled
In iran we hunters have a saying if I want to translate goes like this "for a hunter to succeed its hundred times funeral and once wedding "implies that in many times of going hunting and its hardships once you will get your hunt.
Ironically, this is a much more peaceful way to go then what would happen to them naturally. More than likely they end their lives chewed up alive by coyote or torn up and fed in chunks to the young of the local birds of prey.
@@GwapShad80831 make ur own . Get some foam insulation and cut to fit and liquid nail it inside of cooler and BAM gotchu a homemade yeti cooler its on utube also
always loved the blowguns, started using them in 71, darts had round orange plastic bead. small game was big game with the blowgun. shot a lot of frogs and some fish with them too. everything was fair game back then and we even shot rats at night with a flashlight.
Your pretty deadly with that, I would almost have to have a little set of cross hairs for mine... I love your videos, I tend to have problem with the fleas on them... I call them jumping fleas circuses. You know Tim rabbits don't have gizzards...
You should have a team of people doing exhibitions at events, this style of hunting is equal to the style I fish, fly. Ive taken some 50 lbs carp by bow and fly. Come to Cornwall Ontario Canada and witness the beautiful spectacle that is a big secret. They don't want us to bow fish the carp, but we're allowed
I saw the Cherokee nations blow guns when I was in N. Carolina. They were so cool. No one was shooting them but they were all natural materials. I don't think Blow guns aren't legal in my state. There isn't anything in the rule book about them for small game. but they would be cool to use.
well i cant hunt in pa state with blowgun and why not its maybe its to silent for the most part - i seen it in the game book with pa game commission they don't like that well i can shoot game birds or starlings i'm sure of still need to ask them straight out on the phone
the first hawk i ever seen in alaska - state for sure but only on tv i seen one this is it - my best bird is owls and hawks there a predator just like me but there protected species cant shoot them at all period all over the 50 states
Those orange cold steel cones, a bamboo skewer and a exacto blade trimmed and glued to it are a much lighter and flatter shooting dart that still penetrates good. I've been blowgun hunting since I was a child, approaching thirty now.
@@MatthewSmith-uf6tr uuuuuuhhhh are you sure? If that kind of poison gets into the meat i would think it would contaminate it and make the bunny poisonous to eat.
Please make a video of your darts. I heard you say on another video that the the fleching separates from the shaft. Do you make them? Do you buy them? We dont know. Please reply.
Are the blowdarts hollow like a needle so they bleed out or do u put something on their to take them out? Wow never knew rabbits make sounds, they sound like a small goat lol
@@brandonstark358 after rewatching it, I see now the dart continues to travel through the target. In the first few minutes he shows where the dart exited the 🐇. Do the darts u use do that as well?
Weak? I will always remember a friend of mine shooting one w his .45 at about 15-20 feet. Through the chest...it didn't die, but ran 20 feet, and still wasn't dead...maybe it's just Arizona rabbits.
Cut off the head, legs in the 1st joint up from feet, tail, make a small plunge cut into the upper center of the back only through the skin while you are lifting the skin up away from the body at the same time, and only big enough to make a place wide enough for first and middle fingers on both hands to get them through and under the skin up to the 2nd knuckle on each finger. Then you stick both sets of fingers into that cut and your right pulls towards the head and left towards the rear. The skin will pull off easily, leaving the entrails inside and intact. Then, cut through the center of the sternum where both sides of the rib cage meet up. Then carefull cut the abdominal from the sternum to the pelvis. Cut through the center of the pelvic bone down the the backbone under it. Clean out the entrails, wash it thoughly, then eat all the back muscles, rear leg muscles first. Fried after it's quartered and parboiled to soften the meat. Then make homemade biscuits and a gravy with the fryer cracklin's and a tiny tiny bit of the oil, make a rue with that and a couple tablespoons of flour, a tablespoon of real butter, salt, and pepper, and mix it around till it browns to a light brown color, then add about 3 to 4 cups of whole milk or half and half and stir constantly on Medium heat until it thickens... How the hell is that ????
Saved one from my dog in the back yard. Attempted to release outside the gate. When he jumped out of my hands he twisted in the air, landed on his neck, snapped it, and that was that. End up cleaning and gifting to the dog anyways.
This man wants us think that he is the greatest Hunter that ever lived,Al he's doing is making a living from RU-vid,he's not shit, he wants you to think that he has a education but again he's not shit.
How is he so accurate with the bow at those distances. Like which pin would he use. Crazy he can get headshots because one small distance change will throw off the up and down on an arrow. Amazing video!
After seeing this video I had to buy the blowgun, finally after a week I got my first rabbit with it! Not even thirty minutes later I got another one, I’m hooked and can’t wait to get some more
You're talking bout how big them squirrels are around there. Come down to Michigan. The size of the squirrels round here will put them to shame. Some are about as big as those rabbits you're popping. Pretty cool though. Never thought to call in rabbits. Seems a lot easier than pushing for them.
Trevor Massoth it was the “Red Squirrel”, the smallest squirrels 🐿 we have here in Michigan, Fox Squirrels being the biggest, with Grey/Black Squirrels in the middle size wise....... (We even have NOCTURNAL “Flying Squirrels” in MI)......We have HUGE FOX SQUIRRELS IN MICHIGAN, nearly the size of a Cottontail Rabbit! 👍
