This is so funny to watch haha 😂, have you done any modifications to the intake so it is higher? On my first car, a Renault Clio 1.2 I would pull the air box off and twist the intake pipe up so it pointed towards the windshield/ underside of bonnet, that little shit turd car never broke down on me and would go through 2 foot deep water no problem, never had to go through anything deeper.
On previous snow cars I’ve taken the intakes through the bulkhead but on this I’d literally done what you said pretty much. The intake was behind everything and at the highest point closest to the bulkhead. It’s also sat on the biggest All Terrain’s I could squeeze under the arches, plastics all out and a sledgehammer on the steel to fit em 🤪 More than prepared to get out and push, or let the Landy who followed push us out. Knowing the road obviously being key. It managed 2 winters of shear abuse this warrior until the clutch bearing went. Still used it for a week with no clutch pedal before driving it to the scrappers 🤣
@@Duracell-bunny hahaha 🤣, there is something to be said for shitty old simple cars, a lot of the time they are the most reliable lol. I quite like getting clutches and fly wheels from the scrap yard because they cost fuck all compared to new ones and a lot of the time if you pick and choose them some are nearly new 😆. Same with brake pads, discs and callipers. 😂 I have a golf and needed a rear caliper, £15 from scrap yard looked brand new no rust compared to over £100 for the same brand new. You need to make more videos with of them sorts of cars haha 😄.
On this one it literally had the stock intake turned round and held with a zip tie near the battery, but it was on tyres that needed the steel work in the arches adjusting with a sledgehammer to fit 😅 More than prepped for off-roading and knowing the road helps. Also if I had taken water in I had the means to pop the plugs out and get it going again... It managed 2 flood seasons and 2 winters did that!!

Hey - this is a great video! I'm currently working for Purple Productions who're creating a series for Channel 5 about accidents, driving in bad weather conditions, near misses and road crime in the UK caught on dash cams. If you own this footage we'd potentially be interested in using it! Please can you contact me to discuss? My email address is saved in my channel's description box under the "About" section as I can't post it in a comment without the comment being removed. Thank you in advance, G
