Friend of mine had one in high school. It had a 396 4 speed manual. He had to put very wide tires on the back to get traction. The little bed was tubbed out for them to fit.
Damn, I’m surprised this thing is street legal... (is it...?) And just listen to that damned symphony being orchestrated by that engine... Truly harmonious, indeed...

My friend who lives in Downey CA knows Don Hampton of Hampton blowers my friend introduced me to him over breakfast at stocks restaurant a few years ago , don is a interesting fellow, he was telling me why don garlits and wally parks never got along ,but he did tell me that they both respected each other, don even told me to come by his shop and he would build me a blower if I wanted the best , my friend joe G told me that don is regarded as one of the best blower makers in the world , and that the people over at BDS were taught by Don Hampton, small world!
Good to see hes still around Grew up by Muldowneys shop in northridge. USed to be lots of good st racing in the sfv 70s and 80s. Cops never bothered us, had our fun and ea hour they would show up tell us to move on. THey knew each spot but nobody fought, shot eachother we all got along. None of this bs you see today .
@@drumminsonlive9199 exactly, im building a 69 chevelle now and im going to drive it hard and fast at the texas mile soon, maybe at the silver state classic challenge also , but I have some more things to do to get it ready for those speed runs , it needs to pass tec inspections from steel valve stems to roll cages i want to run the unlimited class, but need to get a competitors license? Im going to open that beast up , redoing all the suspension with global west suspension parts, the engine i have in it now isn't shit only 430 hp nowhere near what I need , I need at least 2500 hp , I want that guy in Chatsworth to build it but iv heard bad things about him ,I dont want to get ripped off then have to go deal with him , so im looking around , im not good enough to build my own engine to make that amount of hp, there are other builders out in Huntington Beach iv been looking into Paul Pfaff is one builder i like
