Hello to all of my Healthcare brothers and sister! The 2020 AHA Guidelines are out. I have posted the new videos for BLS, ACLS, and PALS: ru-vid.com/group/PLhOFBB3AV9swkQ1KUodrLKmxvEbI3R0-R. These changes will not take place until February 2021; however, these concepts are currently being taught in your courses. ☺️❤️
My test is tomorrow. I've tried watching SO many other peoples videos to help prepare myself. Yours are by far the BEST! Thank you so much! I hope I pass tomorrow! 😂 if I do, I give you credit for helping me. Thank you so much! 💙
I failed my test on 3-5-22! Never have i failed the BLS test and I'm on the mission! I RU-vid BLS study guide and found you! Thank you for the helpful information, I retake it Tuesday morning and I'm going to to do very well with the video you have made. I'm a Phlebotomist who just recieved my first traveling assignment, I'm so excited. Thanks again
You are simply amazing Mona Johnson ☺️💜 Congratulations on starting your first travel assignment. A lot has changed with the 2020 BLS Guidelines but I feel the determination in you to succeed. I know you can do this!! ☺️
Congratulations sammy pagano 💜 I am confident you nailed the exam and skills portion of the BLS. I am humbled that my video was helpful for your renewal.
Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm glad to hear that the video was helpful to you and that you learned a lot from it. It's always my goal to provide clear and concise information in an engaging way. I appreciate your support and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
I'm glad to hear that the video was helpful in refreshing your BLS knowledge for your re-certification! Cramming isn't ideal, but it sounds like you're on top of it. Good luck tomorrow-you've got this! Thank you for your kind words, and feel free to reach out if you need any last-minute tips or clarification. You’re going to do great! 😀
You are too kind Donovan Lucibello ☺️❤️ I tried to make the information easy to follow and relevant to what you truly need to know for the course. My hope is this video will help reach as many people as possible to reduce the anxiety surrounding certification ☺️
Glad I have seen your video. I will be having my BLS in less than 5 hours and this just gave me confidence by refreshing the key points! Thank you very much!
I am sure you dominated that test Da yen ☺️💜 Congratulations on getting your BLS certificate. Here is to another two years of certification as a provider.
Correct Christopher Nowak ☺️ It is very important to make sure the scene is safe prior to starting cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is important to not become a victim as well.
That sounds like a great experience for your BLS class! The American Heart Association (AHA) is known for providing high-quality and informative training in life-saving techniques like Basic Life Support (BLS). Having a small class size and hands-on practice can enhance the learning process and ensure that participants feel confident in their skills. Keep up the excellent work in your training and practice! 😊👍
Thank you! I happened to stumble across this video like 2 days before my BLS recertification (August 30th 2021). And i passed the re test with flying colours. I will recommend this video to others.
Good luck on your BLS test! I totally understand the nerves, but remember that you've put in the effort to refresh your memory and you've got this! Just take a deep breath, trust in your preparation, and do your best. Stay confident and positive, and I'll be sending you all the good vibes for a successful test. You've got this! 💯🙌
This is fun; I'm taking my exam in a couple days. The online material was so boring and exacerbated. Your video cuts to the important stuff that's immediately practical in real life and for the exam. Thanks 100%. Keep the material going.
I am so humbled to hear that my videos were helpful Baruch Even Ezra 😀💜 I try my best to make the content enjoyable while also being educational. I am pleased to hear that is coming through in my videos 😀
@@NurseCheung How long does it take to take a course and get ready for a test? I really want to get into the field of Ultrashound Tech and I'm required to take the BLS Certification
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad to hear that you find the teaching on BLS amazing. Thank you for your support, and keep up the great work in learning and applying these vital skills!
You're very welcome! I'm glad to hear that the video is providing you with helpful information for your BLS exam. Just remember to stay calm, take your time, and trust in your knowledge and skills. You've put in the effort to prepare, and I believe in you! Remember to follow the guidelines and procedures you've learned, and don't hesitate to ask for clarification if needed. I'm sending positive vibes your way for a successful exam! You've got this! ❤️❤️
Hi there! 😊💜 Thank you for your feedback and for bringing up an important point. You are absolutely right, ensuring scene safety should always be the first step before checking for response or starting any other interventions in a potentially dangerous situation. Thank you for emphasizing the importance of safety in emergency situations!
That's great F L U X 😊💜 I am pleased to hear that BLS is a requirement for patient transport. I am hopeful that you will have pass the BLS like a boss 💜
That's a great attitude to have! Learning something new daily is a wonderful way to keep your mind active and engaged. BLS is a valuable skill to have, as it can potentially save lives in emergency situations. Thanks for your comment, and keep up the learning! 🌟
@@NurseCheung Yes I did I passed like a Boss. Thanks to you. Just NRP to do now! Thanks for encouraging reply. You are helping all us Health Professionals. Appreciate it. X
Thank you for the feedback Sandra Phiri; however, based not the 2020 AHA guidelines, not all Agonal breathing requires CPR immediately. Please reference the link: cpr.heart.org/en/resuscitation-science/cpr-and-ecc-guidelines/algorithms. If there is a pulse present, you will provide rescue breaths 1 breath every 6 seconds or 10 breaths/min. Once the person loses their pulse, you will immediately begin CPR. I hope that helps clarify ☺️💜
Thank you! I'm glad you found the BLS information helpful. If you have any more questions or need further clarification on any topic, don't hesitate to ask. Stay safe and keep rocking! 💪🏽🩺🌟
That would seem like the most natural thing to do; however, it is not always effective depending on where the foreign object is lodged. You really need to perform the Heimlich Maneuver to create the appropriate pressure to dislodge the object. 💜
Thank you for the kind words! 🌟 Wishing you all the best on your TEAS test today! Remember to stay calm, read questions carefully, and trust in your preparation. You've got this! 🍀📚✨ No matter what, remember that every step in this journey is a learning experience. We're cheering you on from here! 💪🎉 Once you're done, take a moment to relax and be proud of yourself for taking on this challenge. You deserve it! 🥳🌈🙌 Let us know how it goes!
Absolutely agree! 🌟 By sharing knowledge on BLS and ACLS, we're not only empowering healthcare professionals but also making our communities safer. Collaboration and mutual support in this endeavor can only mean positive outcomes. Let's continue to uplift and educate one another for the benefit of all. 💪🚑 Here's to saving lives and working together! 🤝❤️
That's wonderful to hear! I'm thrilled to know that the materials are helpful for your EMT study group at EFSC. It's great to be a part of your learning journey and to support you. Best of luck to you and your study group-you're going to do great! 😊🚑
Thats the first time I have heard of no skills tests for Basic Life Support ruth kief. At my hospital, throughout COVID, we were still holding skills check offs for the certification. I'm sorry you didn't get the experience you deserve.
Great question Ivy Rosales. I do not currently have a practice test for the BLS but it is something I can consider creating for the future. 🤗💜 Thank you for the suggestion.
The American Heart Association's courses are sometimes said to be more difficult and in-depth than those at the Red Cross. AHA also requires a higher passing score on the exam than the RC. Hospitals require healthcare professionals to have American Heart Association's BLS and ACLS courses as they meet hospital standards. ☺️
Great question Angel Amaya 😊 The Basic Life Support Certification is a requirement across various healthcare organizations. The certification teaches basic life support guidelines, airway management, quality chest compressions, and how to use a defibrillator. While it is a requirement in the medical field, it provides the instructions you need to save a life.
Great question Ihunna Agomuo 😊💜 You can absolutely learn online through the American Heart Association website; however, I do not believe you will be able to get your certification as you must prove the skills portion of the certification in person. I am unsure if there are any skills check-offs in Nigeria for the BLS certification here.
Hai mam, am working as a staff nurse at SSB heart hospital, faridabad in India. Passed Acls and Bls, American heart association conducted through the hospital. Cash also deducted from my account for the certificate. But still i don't get the certificate link from the net. Check with the hospital HR. Still am waiting. Could i get a suggestion from you, please...
I am so sorry to hear you are having issues obtaining your ACLS and BLS certificates Santhosh Kumar ☺️💜 ecards.heart.org/student/myecards is the website where you can get copies of your cards. You just need to list either your work email or personal email that you signed up for the class with to obtain your cards. I hope this helps.
Great question Lor Last 😊💜 There are a lot of reasons why you would use 15 compressions with 2 rescuers versus 30 compressions with 1 rescuer, but it mainly focuses around providing the infant with more respiratory assistance since many cardiac arrest events are precipitated by respiratory failure. I hope that helps answer your question 😊
Wonderful review. You very good at this. Just one point where I believe you made a silly mistake 😜 where you said something about tapping the heel of an infant and shouting "ARE YOU OK"...if they don't answer.... I believe you wanted to say "if they don't respond" instead of "answer".
Great catch Dr R Ntja ☺️ Infants are not going to answer when you ask if they are okay unless they are an exceptional child so you never know. But you are correct, you will wait for a response from the infant patient. As I say tomato, tomatoe. ☺️💜
Great question Sumaiya Jannat ☺️ you can apply for your BLS Certificate through the American Heart Association website: cpr.heart.org/en/cpr-courses-and-kits/healthcare-professional/basic-life-support-bls-training
My BLS is next month and I am scared because I am brand new to the medical side of things. I am only getting it to further my knowledge but what kind of jobs can you get, that you know of, with a BLS certification? And thank you for breaking it down.
I am so excited to hear you want to further your knowledge A A. You can get a nursing assistant (if they don't require a CNA license) or unit secretary position on the inpatient side of healthcare. There are limitless options outside of inpatient units where you can be a department secretary, surgery administrative assistant, etc. I highly recommend you watch my updated 2021 BLS video since there will be changes starting this year in February. ru-vid.com/group/PLhOFBB3AV9swkQ1KUodrLKmxvEbI3R0-R ☺️❤️ Its great to know the updated information before you go to class. Keep up the great work!!
Hi Grace. My videos are related to the American Heart Association Standards and Guidelines. You will not find my questions on the American Red Cross site.
Lmbo Heather Beausoleil. You will never, never, never, never, never place child pads on anyone 8 years of age or older. 💜☺️ It was my favorite part to film.
There are never any silly questions Nora Ramirez ☺️💜 The only silly questions are the ones you don't ask. You are correct that the AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) teaches CPR principles. Many organizations require their employees to maintain an AHA certification. I hope all is well with you ☺️
