Hi Alan, great pickups this week and i wouldn't say no to all of them. I watched The ship that died of shame on Film4 a few weeks back and really enjoyed it, Kept me glued from start to finish. Alligator is high on my list, i keep putting it off for some reason. Island of terror and the other you mentioned, Night of the big heat are both excellent for me and i will be picking those up. Sting is a film that i have heard great things about so will be looking forward to watching that one. Thanks mate.

I picked up Guest house paridiso as I’ve not seen it for years and you gotta love a bit of Richie and Eddie 😂. I’ve also pre ordered the Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder box set coming soon from indicator. It contains stir crazy, see no evil hear no evil and another you and it’s a limited edition so I’m looking forward to watching these again as they were very funny films. Super video as always, Alan and all the very best for your daughter's wedding... fingers crossed 🤞 that the weather is a *lot* better than the Oxford Street meet up!🌧 Thanks, of course, for the shout out... and listing the channels (I was worried if I did it I'd miss one, which I would have actually... I won't confess who just got a new subscriber but I have a few back video's of theirs to watch!). Loads more out this week than I realised and a few I might casually pick up in future but only *Bodyguard From Beijing* and the *World Noir v2* set are definite additions (Radiance ususually put out non-Limited versions after a while though so I'll sit back on thae latter. *Chinatown* was already on there but as the CE of the same disc released back in June... and *Willo the Wisp* would be nice for the nostalgia... but that pricetag is mad; actually even the _Amazon_ price of £10 less is way too much really with no significant special features to speak of that I can see. Oh, I'm sure I'll upgrade my *Silence of the Lambs* to 4K as well at some point but hopefully they'll do a steelbook to entice me more. *What We Do In the Shadows* I've never seen though I'm quite interested. *Akama Ga Kill* I have already but split into two purchases (sadly sometimes the ;complete anime sets spend ridiculously long to come out as a whole season, unless it's 12 episodes or less because othrwise the prices are too insane even for anime (my US Ep 1-12 has an official guide price of $70 so $140 if it has all come out at once... mad!). I'd be all over *Gorky Park* if I hadn't imported the Gedrman one this time last year (for under £11). I was waiting to see my only pick up this week but forgot the *Desperado* Arrow 4K steelbook was a Zavvi exclusive... unlikely to be on HMV's shelves! The regular edition is awaiying a date apparently. Ooooh, *Alligator* sounds silly enough to add too... people never learn about illegal experiments and flushing creatures do they? Oddly Blu-raydotcom seem to only have the 4K in the database... I was so hoping *Sting* wasn't the creature movie that involved pet deaths... just can't stomach those; people sure but cat and dog deaths get to me. I'd definitely pick it up if that area had been avoided but, hey, I can't like/buy everything... Special thanks for going back to HMV and videoing a bit more for me too 👍

Thinking of Guest House Paradiso, my youngest brother once met Rik Mayall and got a photo with him. He told me himself that he’s pre-ordered the blu-ray and like yourself is a big film fan, Alan. I’m still considering whether to get that Silence of the Lambs blu-ray and 4K release from Arrow, particularly when it is limited edition.

I'd picked up two Blu-rays recently from Germany which were called "Der Doktor und das liebe Vieh" starring Nicholas Ralph, Samuel West, Rachel Shenton, Anna Madeley, Diana Rigg (short lived for one series as Mrs Pumphreys), Patricia Hodge and Callum Woodhouse, technically there is a English 2.0 option, unfortunately for All Creatures, we didn't get a BD release over here, so i'd had to import it. But there is a complete boxset coming with Polystar having announced series 3 as i'd like to get that. The DVD releases that were put out on the 26th of August was The Watched (known as The Watchers in the US and Australia, despite that film got 3 different formats the following day in the United States) and technically the other Warner release was the 2023 remake of The Color Purple only got a DVD release over here.

Youre slipping Alan, you held up the 4k of Jaws 4 and didnt mention that it starred Sir Michael Caine and say God bless you Sir !!!

I might pick up the new Guest House Paradiso blu ray sometime soon. It's now been 10 years since Rik Mayall passed away, that was a very tragic loss. It's kind of hard to believe it's been 10 years since we lost him.

I might upload another blu ray and dvd update video soon, but I'm sure. I have filmed it but there was a bit of an annoying noise at the beginning and also I wasn't feeling the best when I filmed it. I did share a picture on my community tab of some of the stuff I picked up recently, so you could look at that if you want to see what I bought recently.
