Fantastic new additions to the collection Roy 😀🍿🎸🎶 Great deal on the ‘Agitator’ boxset from Radiance and I heard awesome things about ‘Deathproof’; one of the few Tarantino films I’m yet to see and that indeed includes Inglorious 😱 Been intrigued to check out ‘Night Of The Comet’ for a canny while now 😊👍 Nice addition to the Criterion collection aswell bud 👌 Keep up the fantastic work as ever Roy mate 🤩
@samglendenning9884 Thanks "for stopping by" Sam 😆 as the great man says. Agitator looks really interesting. I'm especially curious about "kill the Referee" with the mob after a poor ref because he's made a wring decision. Buddy you need to get onto Inglorious after the spooky season. Absolutely sublime 👌 film. Take care 🙂 mate 👍 👌
Hi Roy, good old Larry 👍 I’ve never seen the full film Babadook, I got half way through and was called away, I’ll need to watch it from the start again 🧐 I saw Deathproof in the cinema, enjoyed that one. Yeah I’d love to see you rank the Tarantino movies 👌 I often think of the three shells in Demolition Man, one of life’s conundrums 🤯 the original The Fly is a very good watch, very nice of James too. Ahh loved Local Hero, Burt Lancaster was an incredible actor. Fifth Estate is a slow burn but entertaining enough. I have no issues with people flipping movies…..CEX do it all the time 🤣 take care mate👍😃👍
@kermitsghost hi Alan 👋 I'm going to keep hold of that set. Looks like 3 interesting films and I'm all for trying to broaden my horizons. 👍 If you work out the shells before me let me know. I'd advise not trying to put them to your ear l😅🤣
Hi Roy, Yep I found The Lonely Place in Charity Shop for £2, Thanks for the Shout out I have the arrow release of Night of a comet and have watched it, thought was good, The Fifth Estate is a film I rewatch, Benedict plays a great character
Some nice ones there Roy. I love In a Lonely Place and Local Hero. I’m not sure what you will make of Night of the Comet but it’s enjoyable for just how 80s it is. The Fifth Estate is Ok
Regarding your Agitator box set Roy - i'd never heard of the director either, until quite recently. I was going through Catherine Deneuve's filmography; as i enjoy most of her films, and picked up Agent Trouble, one of the films in your set. Hard to explain; but it was quite unusual in my opinion - but still enjoyable. Hope you enjoy the set.👍
@tonyyork46 thanks Tony. Yes I saw she was in that film and like you I have really liked the films I have seen her in. That was one of the main reasons I will hang onto the set. 👍
Another top tier, Bogart film. I'm not a great fan of film noir, but Nicholas Ray's In a Lonely Place is a fine performance by Bogart. It's magnetic and nuanced with some interesting twists and turns. Considering the guy played Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe, that’s saying something about the films central performance and overall calibre of the production. I'm looking forward to Indicator's release of Sahara, which will be a highlight release
@dr.impossibleofcounterpunc1984 Bogart was different level. Oddly enough though I'm not a big fan of The Maltese Falcon. Probably just me though as everyone else seems to like it.
@roybarratt5609 cheers mate, yeah the artwork on it is really nice, it also has the 2 more modern fly movies in as well as the older ones, but it is region a locked
Hi Roy, Would you believe i have never seen the original Fly, I'm the same with the original Invasion of the bodysnatchers, i should really give them a watch. I really like Night of the comet, it is a movie of its time though, very Eighties. I found some bargains in a charity shop the other day, one Radiance title and an Arrow boxset, will stick it up tomorrow mate.
@bushmanblu426 hi Mark. I was a kid when I saw The Fly and I remember being really creeped out. Nice one mate. I will look forward to seeing what you found.
The movie the great escape Starring Michael Caine. There is another one about the same movie. Starring. Pierce brosden. And I do believe they were made at the same time
Death proof is the only tarantino film I don't own I remember not being to keen on it , I don't own a single Jason Statham film he does my head in lol 😅 bugs he ,
