We were so darned tickled to find this. My wife's favorite song from Symbol Remains is Box in my Head, and my favorite is Train True. And here they are playing BOTH of them! We feel like we hit the lottery. Frankly I never thought they'd play Train True live because the vocal is near nonstop (except for the short solo...) and I know I can't manage to sing it all the way through without running out of air. Kudos to Buck's pipes, and to his son for the fantastic lyrics. Richie's Tainted Blood is another favorite, which prompted us to debate why didn't he just drink the blood himself? That Was Me is both dark and fun, with that ineffable BOC spirit. Thanks to BOC for the new great rocking tunes, and thanks for the post.
@@ZiddersRooFurry There are undoubtedly different scenarios for us to envision which would explain things. But the word 'drained' is never mentioned and the phrase "I offer first taste" is; which seems to say that he would have had the second taste, which implies that there was more to be had.... Probably just reading too much into the lyrics altogether. Fun song, though.
Interesting. I found Box in My Head and Train True to be (2) of the lesser ones. That Was Me, Tainted Blood, Stand and Fight and Edge of the World were much better. To each his own, I guess.
@@jrock2264 Sounds like you're more of an Eric Bloom guy and I'm more of a Buck Dharma guy. Which is totally cool. I like Eric's stuff as well. And when I try to imagine the band without one or the other of them I think it wouldn't have nearly the sparkle that it does.
Wow. Thanks for this. Great stuff. Love the new album songs. Love the classics. Love BOC, and the current lineup is killer. Buck still plays and sings so well, nearly ageless. The band Ghost has risen to relatively widespread popularity by incorporating (stealing) the unique combination of dark music and melodic vocals that BOC pioneered - and still champions on the new music.
@@jrock2264 "100 greatest guitarists of all time" by who? It's not a definitive list, it's just one person's opinion. He'd certainly be in mine and plenty of others.
Out there... mid seventies... Aerosmith/ Blue oyster Cult... Five times... Purple micro dot... Cape Cod Colosseum... Oh Man... Charles the grinning boy... Hartford Civic Center... Three Good Buddies...
Yesterday concert of BOC in Brussels (november 3, 2022). Very long pieces of music, non-existent concert structure, long moments of silence between songs, no atmosphere in the concert hall, lost audience... Was it really BOC or a cover band?... Sorry guys. Are you tired?...
@@salvatoredebella4502 I had a chance to shake his hand 'many moons ago' behind a little west Michigan tavern. (early to mid eighties as I recall) It was after the show, and he was out there talking with a a really cute girl. While I didn't want to disturb him, I just *_couldn't_* let the chance pass me by. (especially after that being my 7th or 8th BOC show) He was a true gentlemen all the way, never even hinting I was bothering him, and allowing me a minute of his time. I told him he was the most underrated guitar player in EVER. _And I stand by that statement 35 plus years later!_

My stepson thought B.O.C. was " gay " because of the bar in the movie " police academy " , but he lives in texas so you can't expect much from him......
That may be so but I haven't seen him out there doing promo's for the guy or letting him use the band's music. As of 2015, he said this on his official forums: "I think pop stars and actors look like douchebags when they leverage their celebrity for a party or candidate, and worse when they disparage others. It's ok to endorse somebody, but it's not like a celebrity's opinion is worth any more than yours, or the stranger across the street."
Oh how I wish I never knew that. I’m so disappointed! I’ve admired Buck my entire life but this will take some significant mental reworking to get past. I guess he really is a member of a cult, the cult of personality for that gigantic dirtbag.
This band just loves to rock Saw them last summer at an outdoor event in Quaker town PA and despite some soaking weather What an excellent concert 5000 diehard BOC fans
