I've still got skin peeling from that show. My outside car temp was reading 116F stuck in traffic after the show! It was worth it. In 1988, I had the rare opportunity to party with both the Blue Angels and Thunderbird team at venerable Trader John's in Pensacola. The Blues got up on stage and called the Thunderbirds up. They presented them with a gift wrapped box that was a token of the Thunderbird's flying ability. When the team leader opened the box, it was a rubber chicken. 😋 Was anyone else on here there? EPIC!!!
It must be number 7...but I've never seen it fly during the show. It's the media liason who shows up and takes local media or celebs up. Must have been, like, hey I'm tired of narrating the damn show...I wanna FLLLLYYYY toooooo.
