Even in Japan, some people skipped Nagisa because Hibiki was there, but they later regretted it. Toki is a fun character to use, but she rarely appears in actual battles. In contrast, Nagisa became top tier and Hibiki's value dropped. The conclusion in Japan is that Nagisa cannot be replaced by Hibiki. As someone who plays the JP version, I recommend getting both if possible, but if you can only choose one, I'd recommend Nagisa.

With both being limited, you will probably want to pick them up if your pyro reserve permits. However be very careful on emptying your Pyro reserve because the NY PS68 banner is around the corner and you have the META support NY Kayoko (perm) and a rerun of a very good blue AOE student NY Mutsuki (limited). Speaking of meta importance, NY Kayoko is definitely way higher up than Nagisa (tho Nagisa is limited) One thing to keep in mind that while Nagisa is core on Greg, doing Greg require such specific units that people simply opt to do extreme (which you don't need Nagisa to clear) or Insane with Aru comp (which you uses Himari Ako). If you pull Nagisa for Greg, make sure you are prepared on what you need for the raid as the full built backline comp is extremely expensive to build because of all the new units you need. Of course you can simply do extreme which was enough to plat on JP (Note the fast comp is Aru Himari Ako so keep that in mind) With that said, Nagisa is starting to see more uses: Hiero Torment, Kaiten Torment, Greg Insane+ (Note her role on Insane is only needed if you are not using Aru comp), Peroro (Explosive) Insane (the only place where she is used over Ako). So it is a good idea to pick her up if you can (again I want to emphasize NY Kayoko is on a different level of importance compared to her).

Nagisa is a core student for torment red raids, and her utility is pretty much one that shall age like fine wine. Every single player that wants to do red torment must have her. But the thing is, in a meta perspective you will only use her on torment,(talking about raids not events stage and drill) since hypercarry sup (Himari, Ako) have more utility, because of that on insane you wouldn't even need to use Nagisa assuming that you have or can borrow the meta supports. Torment red raids can't be done with one team, so that's why she becomes a must have or a must borrow for the highest difficulty of the game, if you don't have her, you will need to borrow her and that will make you do less damage + making your life harder. Her kit is great and as the game progresses she is becoming more and more useful, so if you are a meta slave, getting her will really help you in the future and save your borrow slot for a high bond level DPS. People don't really understand that the thing that makes Nagisa desirable is the fact that her utility can't be replaced, you can't use another student to do what Nagisa does because only Nagisa does what Nagisa does lol. You can replace Toki with other red dps but you can't replace Nagisa expecting someone to do the same role

since the reveal of toki. I've seen a lot of her in toki's poses from fist of the north star so that alone sold me on pulling her. any reference to fist of the north star is a win
nagisa's def debuff before damage is helpful it would be helpful for saori and s.hoshino, idk if i should pull for toki since saori's ex skill is guaranteed crit plus the double explosive buffs from hoshino is enough for me , after this banner i saving for s.hanako
Saving for S.Hanako from here on is a bit eh Next fes is not that soon, it's a bit less than half a year to wait, yknow, Mika was like a month ago? so it's a really hot take if you wanna skip all the great students that are going to join global before S.Hanako, yeah you can probably argue most of them are not limited, but there's also no guarantee you get them outside of their rate-up at all (and it's gonna hurt), also it is almost certainly going to hinder your teams' performance on a short run if you're not adding anyone to your roster for such a long time Anyways, I really recommend looking through students that are going to join us, and come up with a realistic plan of who to pull/skip, and not just dumping everything in fes banner, expecting a miracle Have a nice day)

Nah, Toki can usually be replaced by other Red DPS students or simply be borrowed if needed. Stars for Nagisa would affect her own damage and healing mostly while leaving her Def debuff and Crit Dmg buffs unaffected, so its worth is going to depend on your team surviving or dying with her healing. Of course, this is only for the harder content, because if not, there will be strong students in the future to save for.
Man, i think ill try and pull exclusively on Nagisas banner and pray that i get Nagisa like that and then spark Toki. Better yet i just pull them both early on so i can save my pyro for someone else like S.Hanako. here's hoping lol
I know Toki got tons of fans, but speaking of usefulness I would say Nagisa Clearly wins over Toki. Nagisa due to utility works on all red bosses very well, while Toki only really on Urban Hiero. Not to mention on Gregorius Nagisa is FAR more useful than Toki would ever be. And this is concern as Gregorius is boss where most of students are useless and you need specific ones to do well.
any tips for gregorius? here's my explosive students i use in boss raids: "striker" saori s.hoshino koharu atsuko mutsuki "support" fuuka (normal) ---the rest i borrow NY fuuka
@@totoromingu2053 bad news for you - Saori and S.Hoshino are very bad on insane/torment because of incoming damage which is mystic,same goes for Atsuko. You need heavy armor students and AoE red special students like Saya , Maid Yuzu , Minori , S.Miyu -those 3 come later and 2 even for free. Sadly Greg is huge P2W as you kinda need future students from Rabbits summer event and Shanhaijing one to do well on insane/torment difficulty. Surprisingly enough Saya looks like solid pick from units we have already easily farmable. Koharu from your list is also essential from what I have seen.

@@totoromingu2053 As someone who's only played since last November & only reached max level recently, yeah I'd say not to worry too much. From my experience, most raids seem to be pretty easy to clear up to Hardcore (Having around Lv.60-70 students with T5-T6 equipments should make it easy) and once you've started minmaxing students (Lv.70-80 students, T7 equipments) Extreme raids should be as easy as Hardcore. Torment seems like an entirely different difficulty by itself, and looks to be only for enthusiast, that even players who pay a lot can't clear them unless they're being really accurate in the rotations & whatnot. Honestly, I'm happy enough if I can clear insane raids consistently, and for that to happen I need more versatility in my piercing & mystic student lineups. I'd like to have Toki, but since I likely won't do torment for a long time I'll skip her for upcoming must-have piercing & mystic students instead. For Gregorius, it applies debuff on your striker students which is the reason why you want Nagisa & Minori for it since they can't be debuffed, being off-fielders (not sure if you can exchange them with other off-fielder attackers). You also want to only apply the right amount of debuff on it since too little or too much will apparently kill you. In a sense, it has certain requirements similar to Goz (which needs a student with focus assault) where if you don't bring the right students, clearing it is impossible on higher difficulties. That said, I'm expecting it's rather easily doable up to Hardcore like all the other raids, and the strict student requirements would probably start only on Hardcore & so on.
@@totoromingu2053 For Greg, I will suggest you to farm heavily the Maid Yuzu event as she is a very good AOE backline welfare students that some people use her over Minori. Keep in mind that while S.Hoshino is usable, you basically have to have all the pieces to make that happen (i.e., UE40+ Aru, UE30+ Koharu, Himari and Ako) on Insane. Don't bother with any other S.Hoshino comp as the raid is extremely hostile towards the frontline units If you don't want to pull students only for Greg raid (which I would put Nagisa > S.Saki > Mina >= S.Miyako in order of importance), then my advice is to just stick to extreme. Using both Maid Yuzu and S.Miyu is sufficient for clearing extreme in reasonable time if you can borrow S.Saki. And both of those backline are welfare students. For reference, on JP a fast extreme clear (which involves the aforementioned Aru comp) is enough to plat. So it is not like you need to do insane to plat
Talking about meta only, Nagi is a key character in Gregorius, Toki is just an option and it's not the best for any raid, so worth way more pull in Nagisa if you're trying platinum in future, way more better.
A question, who should i prioritize to build first as a new player, i started BA just 2 weeks ago and I managed to pull both of them, I don't know who to invest into first.
@@mythos5276 Nagisa is worth raising to 5 stars because of her defence debuff and area damage, whereas raising Toki to 5 stars depends. If you have another explosive attacker better than her (which I highly doubt) then there's no need to raise her to 5 stars.
@@mythos5276 To be honest, a 2-week-old player should level up every 3 star. Don't worry about the "5 star" stuff; by the time you'll actually need to level up your units to 5 stars, you'll have a pretty good grasp of this game and characters, and who knows, you might even manage to pull better characters than these two.
Hello, I'm a new player and would like to ask, if I've gotten Toki within 50 pulls, since the recruitment points don't carry over, should I continue pulling? Would I face any challenges in going through the story if I don't pull anything? And are there any characters that newer players must pull for?

If you're unsure, you can ask about people is opinion on Discord. I'm not a competitive player though, so I don't have any suggestion. But, what I can say is that, if there's anyone you need more than others, go for that student. Well, if you already planned which students you want to get.
Luckily I got Toki after 205 Pulls and so I was able to choose Nagisa for Pity. Aside from that I got another Copy of Shun (okay I guess), Wakamo Summer and Miyako twice (Shun and the two Miyakos were in one 10 Roll).

To be clear: both this banner you shouldn't skip...if you pull only one off them you might regret not have other one..for anyone who had 24k you safe but for someone who not is just depends on you luck😊
@@sen5466 and to be real here, most of us are still in hardcore & extreme, and fewer that can clear insane raids consistently. Honestly torment is out of reach for the most of us here. In which case, I feel it's better to cover the areas that you lack instead. In my case, I could use a lot more versatility in my piercing & mystic students so I'd skip on Toki since my pyrox is limited unfortunately.
I might actually skip both of them cuz I really, reaaaally want to get New Year Mutsuki, Aru and Kayoko. If I pull for either Toki or/and Nagisa, I will definitely not have enough Pyrox later on... It might hurt in the long run but I'm also not a competitive player either, so I guess I can allow myself to choose waifu over meta this one time.

Highly recommended to see through a list of students joining us before S.Hanako arrive, it's really not that soon, Mika was just a month ago( Having a realistic plan on who to pull is a privilege for Global players, as we know half a year schedule ahead of us, and we know how valuable new students are, thanks for players on JP figuring it out already, we also can see how students will do in the future (like for example Nagisa is great for Gregorius) So yeah, pull wisely and for who you like ofc, not to regret it later. I’d personally pull for nagisa as she has that debuff added on to her skill which is vital for gregarious. While that raid is clearly P2W focused since you’ll need lots of debuff students like Mina, S.Saki, SMiyako, and minori for the massive DPS effectiveness in that raid alone I still think Nagisa is good to pull for.
Nagisa is not that niche as you think. Very good for any high def red raid due to EX def down, also good for Kaiten Torment since she can break the shield, pretty much strong for Greg raid. I would get her if I have to choose one of them.

I have SNonomi and she's at 40/120 4* , and toki kind of do the same thing so I'm considering skipping, I'd have liked to have Nagisa tho. But with 5k and 60 momotalks I don't think I can reach even halfway to spark.
I think if you're not gonna do Torment difficulty and have a robust roster then you don't need either of them. Besides, they can become regulars by the next year (if BA will live that long). Maybe? Personally I have around 40k pyro and will be rolling Nagisa banner in hopes of getting her and then snatch Toki guaranteed, as I prefer Toki character over Nagisa, but Toki is not as must have as Hikari or Ui.

2 limited banners that are core for torment then 1 "skippable banner", then another 2 limited banners that are both spark worthy + limited reruns of core blue raid strikers... This game is fucking brutal on pyroxenes, it's not even funny.
I have like around 12K pyro, with like 8 more multis lines up in terms of tickets. But the issue is, i wanna pull for new years problem solver 86 cause they are some of my favorites. Im not sure if i can build another pity for that banner either between now and then, what do you guys think?
Its extremely likely these two get a rerun (even with one hasnt been announced on jp yet.) but irs doubtful if we ever get a rerun for the new years problem solver because that event already is reran
